[nah, its because theres a chance that he can still steal a bite of bakugou's yogurt here and it'll go to waste if he smashes it against the other's face]

Wouldn't know. I've never seen you eat something spicy.

[Only when it matters... like during duels, and planning the perfect opportunity for stealing your boyfriend's dessert, apparently.]

Admittedly the dorm food provided at my school isn't usually all that spicy, except for any time they put curry on the menu. Then it's a little too much, but still decent enough.

Hah. Dorm curry shouldn't be allowed to call itself spicy. I've had Lunch Rush's curry and had to order it hot just to feel a burn.

It shouldn't be, but anytime the dorm advisor for Ra Yellow insists on getting involved, he can be rather... intense about curry. To the point where he's actually themed his whole deck around cards with a curry motif.

[Thank God Manjoume's exposure to Ra Yellow is limited in comparison to Red or Blue because what a weirdo.]

Huh. Is it competent or does it suck?

[Bakugou's no stranger to Duel Monster's archetypes. He's fond of a few himself. A curry one, however... Surprising? No. Effective? Doubtful.]

I've never dueled the guy myself, but from what I have been told about his deck, it sounded like he knew how to make it work somehow?

[He also watched the guy duel but he doesn't remember it very well on account of... uh. Being brainwashed and in a cult at the time.]

Anyone making a deck should have some fucking idea how it works. Slapping together a bunch of cards is an idiot's mistake.

[Even those that like to run a deck off a theme rather than archetype should have that kind of knowledge. Yeah, Bakugou doesn't really talk about Manjoume being brainwashed. It's not a subject he likes to dwell on, considering Bakugou's been the victim of kidnapping twice in his life.]

Well obviously, but still, it sounded like a very weird gimmick that shouldn't have worked, but apparently it was good enough to almost give one of my classmates a run for the money.

... Then again, Kenzan's not the smartest guy in the room, so maybe it just seemed that way to that taxing dino brain of his when he was relaying the story of the duel to me.

Wow. A lame-themed deck beat an idiot. That sounds so impressive.

[Bakugou's sarcasm is dripping as he finishes off the last bite of his bento. Chopsticks click down into the box and he puts the rubber cover back on before shoving it into the bag it came in. He'll clean it out later when he gets home. Leaning back against the fence, he pulls his yogurt cup from beside him and pops the cover up before peeling it back and slipping the spoon inside. Still cool.]

Ra Yellow?

[Manjoume's rudeness doesn't faze him. Bakugou's a rude bastard himself.]

Oh no, dino brain actually managed to beat them apparently based on what the rest of our classmates had to say about it to back him... doesn't change the fact that he's still an idiot though.

[Because they may be friends, but he will call Kenzan an idiot any chance he gets.]

Yeah, they're in Ra Yellow, which is genuinely shocking to me as I would have expected him to have ended up in Slifer Red instead. He spends so much time at the red dorm hanging around as it is more so than his own dorm, he may as well be transferred in as one of the Slifer Slackers at this point.

[But then again, he can acknowledge that Kenzan is in fact a good duelist, and did at least pass the initial test to get put in Yellow instead of Red, so that has to count for something.]

Hmph. Who wants to watch two morons go at it? You can't learn anything from that you didn't already know.

[Matured as he has, Bakugou still has his pride and a desire not to waste his time on something he can't improve from or enjoy. And seeing two unskilled or novice duelists try their hands at battling each other... is not on his list of things to spend time on. Look, he was one time PUNISHED by having to calm down a bunch of fucking kindergartners!]

You were a Slifer Red at one point. Before you and Juudai graduated, seemed like everyone was heading for that Red dorm.

[Likely due to the events revolving around those in said dorm, which were quite a number of powerful and popular duelists in the school. Go figure. It's almost like the main character was in the Red dorm or something.]

[At the mention of Manjoume having been in Slifer Red, he rolls his eyes and groans.]

Ugh, don't remind me...

[However, despite that remark, it's not said with nearly as much hostility as he would have back in first year. In fact, he actually sounds fond of the place, but in true Manjoume fashion is too stubborn to outright admit to it.]

[Bakugou doesn't recant the reminder. That was part of Manjoume's history and he stretches his arms over his head.]

You bitched at me about it enough times.

[Having someone outside the Duel Academy and not really "connected" to those events was likely a relief. Bakugou had some moments in his life he snarled and growled at Manjoume about specifically because the other boy had fucking zilch to do with it.

And yes, Bakugou knows Manjoume's fond of Juudia and the other friends he'd made over his three years, regardless of the dorms.]

Then you should know by now that it's a drag having to talk about those slackers.

[And yet he does it so often and with a lot of emotion, because Manjoume is a contrary person like that.]

Anyway, all that aside--you're not just planning to let that yogurt sit there, are you?

[Because if you don't eat it, Manjoume will absolutely take it for himself.]

[Bakugou's voice = dry, sarcastic, and obviously digging at that constant talk about the people Manjoume says he doesn't want to talk about. It's almost like he's fond of them or something.]

I'm asking because it's a waste of food if you don't plan on eating it and are just going to let it sit there.

[the question's a scoffing indignation that he'd be so unprepared with his own damn food. he knows how much he likes to eat at a meal. still, bakugou picks up the yogurt, eyes it for a few seconds, then tosses it towards manjoume.]

I mean, there's always the chance you get full from eating other things first... [a pause] Or you share some of it with your boyfriend who will be perfectly willing to help you finish it. Just saying.

[hopefully manjoume's gonna catch the thing, or else it's going to smack him right in his damn (handsome) face. bakugou already threw it to him. Sans spoon, so hopefully the guy's got something on hand to help with that little aspect...]

[says the guy who already offered his boyfriend a piece of his food off his own chopsticks a few minutes ago.]

[It does in fact hit him right in the face, and thus for a moment he's rubbing at his cheek where it struck him. Somehow the yogurt did not explode upon impact with his face, thankfully, but Manjoume still glares at Bakugou nonetheless as he holds up the container in his other hand.]

[Even a softball would go faster than that yogurt cup! At least the cup doesn't blast everywhere upon bouncing down to the ground. Bakugou shoots him a glare right back, though there's one corner of his mouth trying to hook up into a smirk. Manjoume just got hit in the face with a yogurt cup; how's that not funny?]

Gonna do it again to work on your reflexes.

[Manjoume rolls his eyes here at that stupid smirk. This sure is his boyfriend that he loves anyway, smh.]

Just for that, I'm not leaving any for you to eat instead of sharing half with you.

[And he should know, because he's winged shit at people plenty of times after they whined at him to toss it their way. Lazy asses. Bakugou settles back against the fence again, stretching a leg out below him.]
