[At that, Manjoume squeezes Bakugou's hand in his. Sure, it wasn't really necessary to say it, but it still pleases him to hear Bakugou say it anyway.]

[The squeeze gets one in response as Bakugou tangles their fingers together amid the cool air. No, wasn't necessary, but he understands some people need to hear things, not just see the actions. Not his strong suit, but... he's maturing.]

Heh, and which parts are your "best" parts, Manjoume Sanda?

[Not that Manjoume won't happily just go on a rant about himself and how awesome he is if Bakugou doesn't quickly stop him from doing so--]

Well first of all, you're dating the soon-to-be next Duel Monsters Champion of Japan, so you're the luckiest person in the world right now who has the honor of being my boyfriend. Not to mention that I'm the best looking soon-to-be next Duel Monsters Champion of Japan, so I've got that going for me too.

[He gets A Look back because don't you dare go expecting Bakugou to list off your positives, dammit. Though can he be blamed for enjoying the smug little look coming over Manjoume's face?

Wow. Two points. [Bakugou rubs the side of his head before pushing it to crack his neck. Looks totally nonplussed at all that puff. On purpose. Just to rile Manjoume up cause it's fun.] Weren't you the one who asked me out first up there on the school roof?

[Granted he agrees with everything Manjoume said, only bristling at the "have the honor" blowhard. Just cause pride. But he obviously thinks his boyfriend is the best-looking guy in the world. And he's proud of Manjoume's intent and skill pushing him towards that goal.

Definitely believes he'll make it.]

Yeah, well...

[For a second, he blushes, but then he seems to have come up with an answer, puffing up his chest here in stubborn pride.]

That's just another point in my favor: I'm determined enough to take action and do what it takes to get what I want in life.

[Like getting Bakugou as a boyfriend.]

[Stubborn pride. Like a cat falling off something, then righting itself and pretending it meant to do that on purpose. Bakugou scoffs at the reaction, though the corner of his mouth is quirked up. Dumbass.]

Like getting railed against the wall if you keep being a shitty flirt? [They were going out for dessert or something, remember? And yet not they've got this gauntlet thrown down because Bakugou has to like his boyfriend.

What a shame.]

[And just like that, his stubborn blush from a moment ago upgrades to a full on beet red of flustered embarrassment.]

Hey, don't just go saying stuff like that...!

[THEY'RE IN PUBLIC, BAKUGOU... or well, still currently walking on a public street towards their destination, and even if no one walking past even heard what was said, they can probably see the steam that would be emitting from Manjoume's face right now if such a thing was physically possible...]

[Don't start something you can't finish, Manjoume. Bakugou smirks right back at that cherry-red face. Of course, Manjoume would get a similar reaction if he went and said something like that off the cuff, but he didn't and Bakugou's the one taking the reins.]

Weren't you just bragging about being the best-looking guy?

[Right, public in this case meaning alone on a street where no one's going to hear them unless they shout. Bakugou's rather enjoying seeing the vapor pouring out from under the other boy's collar. Someone's weak to dirty talk.]

[He sure is, as Manjoume tugs at that collar of his momentarily, and averts his gaze away from that annoying smirk with a slight scowl.]

So I'm supposed to be attracted to just your dueling results.

[Tempting to taunt a low blow and say something about Manjoume's wonderful personality instead.

Actually Bakugou is very fond of his boyfriend's personality. Doesn't mean he won't taunt him about it when he feels like it.]

[A pause, and then his tone is indignant again as he huffs]

I just wasn't expecting for you to just say it like that! Don't you have any tact?

[Bakugou snorts in amusement when Manjoume fires back that mumbled response. Of course he didn't say it was "wrong" but the protesting certainly suggested he was against it. That indignant little huff more or less tells him what's coming and the blonde rolls his eyes before moving forward again towards their destination.]

Don't put it out there if you don't want a response, Mr. Best Looking. [Then again, he egged Manjoume on earlier, knowing his boyfriend would certainly talk about himself. It's just fun to tease him like that. As for tact... of course not! Though Bakugou's not exactly crass, unless he deliberately wants to be. He'd be way more in line with yelling at someone for discussing sex out in the open than joining in.]

[thundercrashes]

[Listen, he ain't opposed to Bakugou actually railing him against a wall. He is opposed to you saying it because that's more embarrassing and easy to fluster him with, in the heirarchy that is Manjoume's ridiculous priorities.

Regardless, he fumes a bit, face still red in embarrassment before he speaks.]

Let's just hurry up and go eat already, I'm starving.

[Bakugou's well aware of that ridiculous priority list. That's why he said it rather than straight up drag his boyfriend off the sidewalk into the darkness between two buildings or something.

But can you blame him for riling Manjoume up and then leaving him to stew while they grab something to eat? Who knows what the blonde will have created by the time they get back to the apartment.]

Impatient. It's right over there.

[And point to the across the street ahead of them, a red-lined restaurant for the Korean bbq grill.]

[thundercrashes]

[Truly devious, making Manjoume have to think about this and stew in annoyance (and maybe some amount of lust thinking about the idea of getting railed against a wall--dang it Bakugou, this is literally the first date, how could you do that to him) until he can be sufficiently distracted by food instead...]

Finally.

[He is ready to fill up on bbq, and it shows in how his mood seems to pick back up again the closer they get, steps picking up in pace as he tugs his boyfriend along to get there faster.]

[This may be their first date, but the fact he's attracted to Manjoume isn't a secret. And if it means enjoying watching the other guy squirm for a while, why the hell not? Hopefully the food will distract Manjoume enough that he won't be stuck on it all that long. The grill's going to be interactive after all.

Bakugou makes a noise when he's pulled, but they get into the restaurant without a problem. Hopefully can get a seat without being recognized either...]

Try not to get burned tonight.

[So far, so good in not getting recognized too quickly--the staff here are currently busier than the staff at the movie theater was, distracted with customers who are also distracted with trying to eat for now. The person who points them to an open spot barely even looks up from their stuff, in fact, so they should be able to sit down without too much fuss.

At the comment, Manjoume scowls a little.]

Shut up. I'm not so clumsy that I'd get burned using the grill here.

[He may be a little hopeless in a kitchen in comparison to Bakugou, but he at least knows how to use the grill here! ... Though he may have been distracted enough here to somehow miss the innuendo that was thrown at him at the same time, whoops.]

[Good. He doesn't want to deal with a bunch of people staring at them or trying to take sneaky photos of them while they're eating. The staff doing the same would be even worse. Something to be said for hoods, hats, and shades. Manjoume's hair is pretty damn easily recognized. Oh well. If things get bad, they can just up and leave.]

Who said the grill's gonna burn you? [Bakugou grins across the table, though he can't kick a leg over to nudge at Manjoume's because there's a fucking table stand and heater down below! So he'll just have to do it with his eyes. The grill's turned on before the server leaves them with menus, warming up while they look over the options.]

You've been to one of these before, right? [Of course the big options are whether they want to go more meat, more vegetables, or half way with both.]

[thundercrashes]

[There's a moment of squinting, and then... oh. Manjoume puts his menu up in front of his face in an attempt to hide the blushing now.

It's safe to say that he got the innuendo that time.]

Y-yeah, of course I have, like once? So I know how to use it.

[As for what to get...]

I think I'd want to go with more meat, or half way with both meat and vegetables? What do you think?
