[There's a lemon over there if you want more reason to squint, babe.

he immediately goes to stab his chopsticks towards the grill, trying to block Manjoume from yoinking the piece. But the guy was faster and he glares across the table when he successfully pops the thieved piece into his mouth.

OH YEAH?! Well he's going for one of your shrimp then!]

[thundercrashes]

[Manjoume proceeds to attempt the exact same thing Bakugou just did in the form of using his chopsticks to block the other from stealing his shrimp, but alas, Bakugou manages to be faster than him this time.]

Oh, it's on now.

[Cue him once again going for an attempt at stealing a piece of Bakugou's food in retaliation, because this is apparently the kind of maturity he's devolved into now instead of going back to eating his own food here.]

[Hah! Too fast for you this time, huh Manjoume? Though Bakugou gets the same idea the other boy does the moment it comes into his head. This is a battle and now he's ready for it. As soon as Manjoume makes to stab for the food, Bakugou intercepts with a quick block of his chopsticks.]

Get ready to lose, bitch. [And they can have a jousting swordfight with chopsticks over a burning grill with sizzling food like a pair of well-adjusted mature teenagers.]

[thundercrashes]

[Sure enough, Manjoume meets the challenge head on, jousting with his chopsticks this way and that to try to either steal pieces of Bakugou's food, or get the other boy to potentially lose his hold on his chopsticks and drop them as another means of winning here over this incredibly mature game they're having here.

Even if doing this right over a burning grill is perhaps not the smartest thing to do, but thankfully it seems that Manjoume has some sense to not burn himself, even when, after a whole two minutes of this, an audacious move he makes trying to slip past his boyfriend's chopsticks accidentally causes him to lose his grip on his own, dropping one of them that bounces off the grill and rolls away off the table with a clatter.

There's a long pause, before Manjoume huffs and sets aside the one remaining his chopstick he had in favor of obtaining a new pair as he grumbles.]

Damnit. Guess you win this one.

[blastedass]

[Ha! If he thinks he's going to get Bakugou to drop his sticks, Manjoume's got another thing coming! The blonde's not so clumsy as to allow that blunder, and he'll even catch a stick in his other hand to go two-pronged poking at his opponent to keep himself in the game. Sometimes it's not even about the food, but just making sure Manjoume gets zilch.

Though the end comes not from the procuring of food, but from Manjoume losing one of his sticks. Bakugou glances over the side of the table, watching it go rolling off to the side. No real coming back from that one... At least the waitress isn't long to bring Manjoume a new pair. Apparently people drop chopsticks plenty of times in this place.]

Bastard. We're having a rematch later. [While it's not a disappointment like his match with Todoroki during the Sports Festival, winning due to a fluke like this never entirely satisfies him.] That natural or did you have some kind of blade training in the past?

[thundercrashes]

Nah, nothing like that. Just experience 'cause I fight a lot with Juudai sometimes at our dorm whenever he tries to steal my own shrimp...

[There's a pause, before Manjoume suddenly frowns, and with his new pair of chopsticks jabs at a piece of his own shrimp here to snatch and eat.]

Well, used to fight with over shrimp, anyway.

[In the before times, before the alternate dimension and Juudai having changed a lot more than the rest of them had actually wanted him to...]

Kick his ass.

[There have been some instances of the extras that hang around Bakugou trying to steal his food, but it was early on in the first year and now they're smart enough to avoid that. Unless they want to get their faces blown up. Not to mention risking the heat level of his food... It's not 100% guaranteed, but enough to be a deterrent.]

He's still planning to wander? [Though he doesn't know the details, Bakugou knows some of what happened to Juudai and the duelist's changed attitude. Going through something like that will change a person.]

[thundercrashes]

Yeah, something like that.

[Manjoume, despite his attitude about it, has quietly accepted it. He understands that Juudai needs time, and traveling the world might actually help to heal the wounds that his heart had taken on from the alternate dimension.

It still hurts, though, seeing how he's changed, and that the other boy won't be joining him in the world of professional duelist. He won't be able to duel his rival on a stage in front of the world anymore... at least, not for some time. Not until Juudai decides whether or not he wants to ever come back to dueling in that kind of manner ever again.]

[Bakugou leaves the topic rest. It's something between Manjoume and his friend. There's a lot there he doesn't know, even if he might understand the general idea of it. If Manjoume wants to talk about it, he will. There's nothing else to be done but wait. Forcing the issue won't help anyone.

It's not like he doesn't know what Manjoume's going through. When Izuku left U.A. because he thought that was best to protect his friends and classmates, they all felt abandoned and disappointed, hurt that he would even view them like that, that he would think such a thing was necessary, even if they could see where he came from. But unlike Juudai, 1-A decided to go bring Izuku back, even if they had to force him...]

You'll be there for him, whatever he decides.

[thundercrashes]

Of course. That's what fr--rivals are for.

[He very quickly word swaps, but its pretty obvious what word it was he had been about to use. He snatches up another bite of meat from the grill here as he proceeds to gesture between the two of then here with his chopsticks.]

But enough about that guy, today's supposed to be about us and our date rather than dwelling on that kind of stuff.

Uh-huh.

[Manjoume's not as easily able to hide those things as Bakugou can, who'll also flat out refuse friendship claimed by anyone. He knows Juudai is Manjoume's friend, but isn't planning to taunt him about it because the duelist can use the same crap against him without hesitation.]

And what part of us are you going towards next?

[thundercrashes]

It depends on whether or not you agree to come back to my place or vice versa, after we eat here.

[... wow, he actually managed to say that with a straight face without flustering his way through it.]

[Oh? That gets an arched brow, but Bakugou respects the straightforwardness. And coming from Manjoume without all that blood rushing to his face.]

All right.

[thundercrashes]

[There's a pause, and then...]

Really? That's all right with you?

[Ah, there it is. The slight fluster that comes with actually getting Bakugou to agree to this particular proposal.]

Did I fucking stutter, or are you deaf? [It's not like he isn't aware of what he just agreed to. But if they're going to date, then wouldn't going to each other's respective places also be part of that decision?]

[thundercrashes]

Fuck you.

[He huffs at that remark, but there's a pink tinge to his face as he picks up another piece of food with his chopsticks and he grumps a little.]

I just... wanted to make sure that didn't seem like I was moving too fast or something to offer, when we're only on our first date here...

You're gonna sputter that kinda crap right after saying "fuck you" to me?

[Sure, he knows all too well Manjoume didn't mean it literally (yet) but it's impossible not to tease him about it when he was having a nervous moment over just inviting Bakugou back to his place a second ago. He picks up a piece of meat again to bite on while smirking at the other boy across the table. Manjoume makes it easy sometimes.]

[thundercrashes]

[Thanks, you've just made that blush on his face even worse.]

Shut up.

[He'll consider that a victory. Despite the implications that tease had to weather to come out...]

Your face is gonna burn off.

[thundercrashes]

Like hell it is, so just shut up and eat your food.

[Even though Bakugou is absolutely correct, his face is burning bright enough that he's pretty sure that the table across from them can see it... and apparently so can the waiter that stops by briefly to check on them.]

"Are you gentlemen in need of anything? ... Oh, sir, do you need another ice water or--"

No, I'm fine.

[he hates all of you but especially you Bakugou, it's definitely your fault this is happening]

I could cook on it instead of the grill.

[Not that he'll try, though it's tempting to stick a piece of meat at his face for the hell of it. He glances up when the waiter stops by, keeping a poker face despite wanting to laugh at Manjoume for the entire thing.

Waiving off the waiter is easy, as well as "excusing" the fact with-]

He tried the hot sauce.

[-to give Manjoume some reason for being so red-faced in the first place. That'll get him some cold water regardless, since obviously the duelist needs the cool down.]

[thundercrashes]

"Oh my, I'll be right back then."

[Manjoume gives the other boy a glare, but otherwise says nothing to dissuade the waiter to hurry off and find something to help cool down someone from trying the hot sauce here. Instead, he just sighs, back to grumping again as he rests his chin on his fist here for a moment.]

You're incorrigible, you know that?

[Bakugou just grunts in acknowledgement as the waiter leaves. Manjoume could use a refill anyways. Not that cold water would really help with something spicy... It's temporary at best. You'd need yogurt or milk for instant relief. It's more fun to watch Manjoume fume at him. Chopsticks slide around a broccoli floret and he picks it off the grill.]

You make it easy.

[thundercrashes]

I do not. You're just ridiculous.

[He denies immediately, turning his own attention to his meal now. Still... despite his embarrassment, he is in fact thinking about what comes after having made that proposal to begin with, and it isn't going to happen until they actually finish eating and leave, so now he seems awfully focused on doing just that, now picking up several pieces of food with his chopsticks off the grill and taking a bite much faster than before.

Plus, the faster they get out of here, the faster he can avoid more people potentially seeing and finally recognizing that the one being so flustered over here is Manjoume Thunder...]

Uh-huh.

[He doesn't admit to that for a second. Though seeing Manjoume speeding up his food raises a curiosity in him. He said that as a joke, taunting him for the words, but with the reaction across from him... is the duelist really thinking about doing what they just said? Bakugou picks up pieces from the grill, mind playing over the idea in his head as he savors the grilled meat and vegetables.

Fuck you, huh.

Someone's got balls if he thinks that's going to happen so easily. At least Bakugou's not going to make it any harder for Manjoume for the meal, while the waiter refills the duelist's water and skirts off to probably talk to someone in the kitchen about recognizing the duelist and hero sharing a table.]
