Mmm, true. Can't do anything about ads playing in places like this, though...

[Speaking of which, another ad plays, but it actually has someone recognizable--or at least, recognizable to Manjoume. Edo Phoenix appears on the screen suddenly, dramatically jumping out of a helicopter promoting something or other for an upcoming line of who gives a shit, Manjoume certainly doesn't.]

Ugh, for example, wish I had an Ad blocker right now for this dramatic bastard.

[Manjoume respects him as a fellow duelist to compete against, but that doesn't mean he would want to see any of the stupid commercials Edo tends to wind up being in.]

Ignore them.

[Bakugou leans back in his seat and takes his phone out, keeping the screen dimmed so he can scroll through some messages that came up during the wait. He glances towards the screen when Edo appears. Ah, one of the other Hero deck users. Wasn't this guy the Destiny Hero specialist? The helicopter bullshit is as ridiculous as ever, but if that's what he has to do to grab attention, good fucking luck.]

You're giving him what he wants by watching.

[Not that the guy had any way of knowing if Manjoume was sitting in a theater staring at his stupid face on the screen. Bakugou instead moves his hand to shove his phone into Manjoume's face.]

They're coming out with themed phone cases.

[He's keeping his voice a whisper next to Manjoume's ear so as to not bother the other movie goers. Themed towards some of the famous duelists around.]

[Normally, Manjoume would be annoyed at things being shoved into his face like that, but this time he lets it slide as he looks at the screen Bakugou is showing him about phone cases: certainly better than watching a commercial Edo is in.

He'd be more enthusiastic if there was a phone case coming promoting the Sanda brand, but sadly he hasn't gotten signed on for something like that recently. Not yet, anyway. Instead, he asks--]

Are there any new ones based on Seto Kaiba and his deck?

[He has his preferences. Besides, sitting through a bunch of shit commercials before the trailer is an event no one should have to deal with at the movies. They have that crap when their programs are interrupted in television. Sheesh. No fucking reason for it to be in a movie theater.

Unfortunately this is more of a hardcore accessory company who creates strong accessories (duh) for phones. Nothing ground breaking, but Bakugou likes the armored design of the cases the create. Trusted brand. So them finally opting to dabble in themes is a plus to hear.]

Yeah... Here. [After a few scrolls, he passes the phone back, revealing their "Dragon" line that introduces Blue-Eyes, Red-Eyes, Armed Ojama, and Cyber. The "Knights" line is a mixture of Black Magician, Heroes, Harpies, and Cyber Angels.

These things are touted to survive a two-story roof-to-ground fall with at worst some scratching.]

[Oooh, good. He opens his own phone briefly to make a personal note to himself to remember to look into potentially ordering the Blue Eyes case... but to also look at Red Eyes, and of course Armed Dragon. He's gotta think about representation for one of his best monsters, after all.

The lights in the theater suddenly start to dim, and Manjoume quickly passes Bakugou back his phone so that they can set them aside before someone can potentially bitch at them as the trailers for the movie they're here to watch finally start.]

About damn time, what took them so long...

[Bakugou pulls his phone back once Manjoume makes a note, then puts it to sleep before shoving it into his pocket as the theater lights dim. About time too. The fucking commercials are a pain in the ass. Trailers hopefully won't be a waste of time. If a bunch of crap's coming out, they're screwed.

He snorts at Manjoume's gripe, not entire sure if it's for the theater's advertisement taking too long or the phone company waiting till now for themed cases. Who knows.]

Partnerships.

[That'll answer both, with the same grumpy tone as well.]

Mmm.

[Manjoume nods to indicate that he heard the answer given, and will accept it here as he's finally gone quiet on his side here. A lot of the trailers are geared towards marketing action-type movies, which makes sense given the choice of movie the two of them had eventually settled on to watch together. Explosions, fast cars, even one that appears to be Duel Monsters related that Manjoume makes a mental note of to look up later, so on and so forth until the lights dim further and the movie, finally, begins in earnest.

Because it's an action movie, the likelihood of devolving into certain date cliches like holding onto his boyfriend during scary or intense scenes is pretty low, but when Manjoume isn't taking a bite of popcorn or a sip of his drink here, he does leave his hand next to Bakugou on the arm rest in-between them--a silent offer that the indulgence of holding hands is still on the table is so desired.]

[Bakugou picks up on the action-themed films, noting the ones that pique his interest, including the Duel Monsters trailer. It's ironic that there's definite truth to Duel Monsters being far more than a card game (even more than the Dueling Heroes with their hard-light monsters helping the heroes) and having cataclysmic results if left unchecked. Bakugou initially hadn't believed Manjoume's story when he first met him, but over time, found out the truth. Likely a good thing that information's not made public... Enough fucking bastards gunning for dangerous cards on top of Quirks.

Sorry, Manjoume. Bakugou is not the holding hand type. Outside of flush-faced occasional while walking, or the more normal during-intimacy moments when he definitely holds onto his boyfriend's hand(s). But once or twice during the movie, when he's reaching for popcorn or drink, their hands bump and Manjoume gets a brief nudge or grip for the hell of it. Mostly because he knows his boyfriend likes that kind of thing even if the duelist would rather be caught dead than admit it.]

[Don't worry, he knows that Bakugou is not the holding hand type, and would also rather be caught dead than to indulge in that sort of thing in a public setting. Even if it is a dark movie theater and no one else is going to see it, it's still technically a public place after all.

But, Manjoume appreciates his boyfriend's attempt to reciprocate with the occasional nudge or grip of his hand in acknowledgement during the movie. And he'll even be nice enough to not point out that Bakugou even did anything so that he isn't embarrassed... not during the movie, anyway. Maybe later, once the movie ends and they're alone somewhere again.

Until then, they've got roughly two hours of a movie to watch, and thankfully, there doesn't seem to be anything about the movie itself that would drive either of them to get bored or annoyed. Aside from being a bit cheesy and generic for an action movie, but that's probably to be expected, or so Manjoume tends to think. There's a couple sitting below them, thankfully not blocking the view, but they are a little noisier and causing the light of a cellphone screen to initially be tilted upward in the direction of where Manjoume and Bakugou are sitting, but for now, Manjoume isn't going to get their attention to tell them to put the damn phone away yet. It's not his job to police that sort of thing, it's the ushers. Hopefully they don't end up irritating Bakugou instead by comparison, but otherwise it looks like it'll be an uneventful movie viewing until the end...]

[That's soft, sappy things. Not as bad as kissing said boyfriend, something Bakugou's gotten better at doing out in public. Manjoume can sometimes get the blonde to pink if he kisses him out in the open, though this the same guy who'll catch the duelist's scarf and pull him in for a kiss because he fucking wants to.

He's picky with his PDA things. So long as he's the one initiating it, then it's not as bad. Getting it initiated on him definitely embarrasses him, even if he likes it. Which he does. Manjoume feels good whenever he does stuff with him, from those deft fingers sliding over his own to his soft lips brushing against his as they kiss. Even the embraces after they go a while without seeing each other. Or a casual fist bump when they do something cool. Little things like that. Cool things.

Someone's using their cellphone during the movie? The first time, Bakugou's going to just glare the second he gets distracted from the film due to it. But nothing yet. The second time, however-]

Put your damn phone away, you asshole! [God, there's a movie going on! Why are people so fucking inconsiderate?! If they want to blind themselves and not watch the movie, then duck your stupid heads under the seat and die with the trash on the floor! Better not have to be told twice or there's going to be some issues... And Bakugou at least snapped at them when there was no dialogue going on in the movie, so... he was considerate himself.]

[They get a few startled glares directed at them in response, but next to Bakugou here... Manjoume is actually trying really hard to not be heard laughing in response. And so far doing a poor job of it.]

Did you see the look on their faces just now?

[He does however lower his voice here to whisper at Bakugou here after the people in front of them turn their attention back to the movie.]

[Bakugou's glare is a million times worse than theirs, daring any of them to say shit at him without directing their ire towards the rude bastards flashing a cellphone in the middle of a damn movie.

Manjoume's barely-concealed laughter probably doesn't net them any points, but Bakugou thinks his boyfriend's cool for it. He's got a handsome smug face, you know.]

Two of them. They better turn around if they don't wanna die.

[Because he'll totally end anyone who tries to make an issue out of his demand. That's right. Turn your asses around and face the screen before you get decked. Be intimidated. Fucking extras.]

[thundercrashes]

[Sure enough, the people in front of them quickly turn back around to face the movie instead, as well as turn their cellphone's light off. As a result, Manjoume can't help but chuckle a little at all this.]

Looks like you scared them with that. Good job.

[Bastards. Why do people come to the theater if they don't want to watch the movie, and/or are stupid enough to forget there are other people in the theater? Bakugou sinks back in his seat with a quiet growl before kicking his feet up on the seat in front of him. No one's there, so why not?]

Pussies.

[So proud of himself.]

[As he should be.

They reach the end of the movie thankfully without any further interruptions, and once the credits roll and the lights start to come up, some of their fellow moviegoers are quick to dart out rather than stick around.

Manjoume for his part is not so hasty, taking a moment to check to make sure he doesn't have any popcorn kernels on his clothing that needs to be brushed off as he speaks.]

So what did you think of the movie?

[Bakugou snirks when when the troublemakers run away before they can get yelled at again. Good. He would've broken them all over again if they tried saying shit. There's nothing really worth looking at in the credits so Bakugou packs up.

He flicks a popcorn kernel off his thigh as he stands up, though really hasn't made a mess of anything. Respect the ushers.] 8 out of 10. Some of the dialogue was forced, but the action was good.

The dialogue was about what I expected from this kind of movie, but yeah, the action was fun enough.

[Once he's satisfied that he doesn't have any popcorn kernels or the like stuck to his clothing, Manjoume stands and stretches a bit here before he will reach to pick up some of their stuff here too to help dispose of before they leave.]

You didn't get too full on popcorn, right? We have plans for eating out after this, if you're still good with that.

I heard the actor did his own stunt for the car jump.

[Always a big marketing thing, whether you had the balls to do your own work or left it to a stunt double to take the risk. Bakugou is tempted to flick a popcorn piece into Manjoume's hair... not like he'd notice... but opts not to because he kinda actually loves the guy.]

Hell no. You ate more of it than I did. [Really, Bakugou? Really?] Lets go.

The hell I did. I'm pretty sure I saw you grabbing quite a few handfuls yourself.

[Manjoume retorts right back at him, but follows along nonetheless out of the theater room. Thankfully, nobody looks in their direction as they come out, at least not long enough to stare and recognize either of them for now.

He doesn't immediately make to grab Bakugou's hand like he had when walking into the theater, if only because there's a lot more people around now than there were earlier. But maybe once they're outside and alone again, then he'll make the offer again if Bakugou is fine with it.]

I didn't grab handfuls!

[But he also wasn't popping them in one dainty piece at a time. Sheesh, he doesn't eat like a fucking monster (or like some of the guys in his class would). Bakugou's grateful for the lack of recognition. For the little boy who dreamed of being recognized and praised everywhere he went, the teenager quickly found out why that's fucking annoying fast.

The offered hand takes a bit for him to recognize it's being offered, but once they're back on the sidewalk, walking away from the theater... yeah, he slips his hand into his boyfriend's, other hand in his pocket as the cool air wisps around them. Stupid ass winter...]

[Normally, Manjoume takes a great deal of pleasure and pride when he is recognized somewhere, but today... for once, he just wants today to be about Bakugou and their date here. And he's pleased that Bakugou takes his offered hand, despite the cool air when they're outside. Manjoume keeps his other hand in his own pocket as well to stay warm, but the one holding Bakugou's is fine since it has the warmth that Bakugou's own hand is currently providing as they begin to head toward their next destination.]

Have you thought about what you're going to order already, or are you waiting until we get there to look at the menu?

[Pride and pleasure definitely come with getting recognized, but it's the time that follows, when people clog and crowd and suddenly he's dealing with bullshit questions and people shoving things at him that quickly turns that elation into exasperation and anger. Very cat. Attention loving when he wants and then suddenly that undefined "enough" hits to bite. But none of that's happening now as he rests his hand in his boyfriend's and walks through the evening air.

Manjoume's hand is warm too. Agile, lithe, and strong. A duelist's hand.]

I'll wait. We're not on a time schedule.

[thundercrashes]

Mm, fair enough.

[Manjoume is about to say something else, but it's at this moment that there's a sudden pop of color near his right eye in the form of Ojama Yellow.]

"Boss, Bosssssss, can we get sweets, you're getting sweets at the place that you're going, right?"

[Manjoume sighs, batting the Ojama away from his face, grumbling at them.]

Do you mind, we're still busy right now and don't need you popping in, even if the movie is over. And why do you guys care what I eat while I'm out, you don't even need to eat any food yourselves...

"But the sweet stuff is always really pretty and colorful to look at!"

[Ugh. Manjoume rolls his eyes as he turns his attention to Bakugou and proceeding to ignore the Ojama once more.]

Sorry, they're being annoying again. At least they actually refrained from talking during the movie this time...

[He might not be able to see them, but knows exactly what Manjoume's talking to when he starts rambling irritably to himself. Took a bit for Bakugou to actually believe it, but he saw enough results to accept that reality.

Doesn't mean he likes the pestering spirits interrupting his time with Manjoume.]

Tell 'em to piss off. We're busy.

[He's tried to blast them once or twice, but that really just results in almost blowing his boyfriend, so...]

[thundercrashes]

You can tell them yourself, you know they can hear you.

[In fact, Ojama Yellow grumbles about being told that, even as indirectly as Bakugou does.]

"He can't tell us what to do, we only listen to the Boss-"

And you barely even do that half the time. So if you actually care about listening this time, then go back to not interrupting our date already.

[Said with another shooing motion of the Ojama away from his head here with his free hand.]
