[Unfortunately, Manjoume is having one of his oblivious moments of not realizing right away yet how much this is comprimising their current position even more, or even how this conversation could be interpreted as he reaches to try to catch the edge of his bag with his fingers to drag closer to them.]

I can balance myself just fine right here, thank you very much. I'm pretty flexible enough to do this without falling over...

[Once he gets the bag and pulls it over, weight and balance are in a more agreeable situation and Bakugou shifts his thighs a bit to give the other boy some more space to sit and straddle/kneel on. Hopefully Manjoume isn't going to bitch about whatever he's doing to the knees of his pants leg, sitting in this position on a fucking concrete rooftop for the past several minutes and all...]

That's cause I've got you by the waist and your legs are fucking strangling mine.

[There's a pause as Manjoume finally looks down and regards their current position... and finally makes to try to scramble upright and away to establish some reasonable sense of proximity. One that isn't being so close to Bakugou in his lap that he's dangerously close to grinding against something other than the other's leg with all that squirming he had been doing before, at least.]

Yeah, well, I didn't exactly hear you complaining that much about it before!

[DID HE JUST NOW REALIZE WHAT HE'S BEEN DOING?! It's been like 20 fucking minutes!! Bakugou grunts slightly when Manjoume springs off him like his lap was suddenly transformed into lava. Might have been insulted at another time, but this is probably for the best. He pushes himself up to his feet, brushing at his butt and the back of his pants to clean off from sitting on the roof this whole time.]

Cause I wasn't fucking complaining.

[Listen...... Manjoume was distracted by other things. >_>]

It sounded like you were.

[Still, despite sounding mildly petulant, he isn't actually that bothered. Instead, he does his own preening gestures of dusting off his pants and coat of any potential rooftop dirt and dust or the like from having been sitting (and then kneeling) over Bakugou a bit ago.]

Anyway... this weekend. After I figure out what the scheduling for the movies showing are, I'll text you on Friday for what time we should meet up. Is that okay?

[Thankfully, Manjoume hasn't forgotten about their date plans in all the nonsense and making out they were doing here.]

[Once he deems himself good and clean, Bakugou swings his bag up over his shoulder and slips his hands into his pockets, shoulders hunched forward just slightly in that aggressive, aloof sort of grumpy way that instinctively tells other people not to fuck with him or else. Posture's a thing, isn't it.]

Yeah. I'll see it even if I don't respond right away and I'll let you know if there's any problems when I can.

[Bakugou would have brought it up if there had been radio silence, but Manjoume's the dutiful one to do so.]

Get moving before the bell rings.

[Would you prefer he not get distracted ever by his attractive boyfriend??]

Yeah, yeah...

[There's a pause, however, where he awkwardly shuffles for a second instead of immediately leaving when he turns on his heel... before he suddenly turns back around, and darts back into Bakugou's personal space so that he can give the other a kiss before he goes.

They're dating now, so it's totally allowed to want to kiss his boyfriend before leaving. Even if one or both of them might end up being embarrassed by how chaste and definitely a little giddy the action is in comparison to the kind of kissing they were doing before. If so, fucking sue him for being happy that he can get away with things like that now.]

[That would be impossible.

Bakugou heads forward, intent on the door to the roof and thus returning to the walls of the building. Or at least, that had been the idea. Before Manjoume suddenly aboutfaces and rushes right back into his space. Bakugou jerks back, eyes widening in slight surprise and chest arching slightly. What the fu-

*kiss*

Oh. He barely gets a kiss back before Manjoume's chaste touch breaks and Bakugou's left pink, stunned... and then scowling after his now-boyfriend with a growl. Bastard. Stealing that from him. He's gonna fucking pay him back for it later!

But guess that's permitted... They're dating now. And he's looking forward to their first one.]

fast forwarding to date

[Manjoume is very much looking forward to their first date too, and it shows not just in all the texts he ends up sending in the day or two leading up to it with details about the movie schedule for the weekend and ideas of where to eat after, but in his attire too on the day of when he's waiting for Bakugou to meet up with him.

For once, he's actually wearing something different for the date; nothing too fancy or flashy, but not his eternal attire of purple turtleneck and tattered edge black coat that has somehow managed to survive all manner of nonsense. He's also shown up almost a half hour early as he stands outside the theater waiting for a sign of Bakugou's arrival, but thankfully he isn't bored waiting so early... probably on account of having to spend that time reminding the Ojamas that there will be hell to pay if they decide to spectate or get involved in any way during his date with Bakugou.]

I'm not joking, if I catch sight of any of you hanging around during what is supposed to be a private date when he gets here, I am using your cards as coasters for a week.

["Aww come on Boss, you don't have to be so stern! I mean, we stayed out of the way when you two were having lunch together a few days ago, didn't we? There's no harm in it if we wanna be around just watching the movie too..."

"Unless whatever it is you two are doing turns out to be more interesting than the movie, anyway."

"Sssh, Green, don't say that where he can hear it!"

Hopefully, they'll leave as soon as Bakugou shows up rather than stick around...]

[It only takes three texts in short time before Bakugou puts Manjoume on read. Fuck! Doesn't need his phone blowing up for the next day or two. He opts to read the texts every few hours, gathering the schedule and option details, then responding back in a prompt and efficient text with his own decisions and thoughts. Takes Manjoume off read. Then repeats the process once the next flurry comes in.

But it's impossible to put Manjoume on read when he finds himself standing in front of the other boy. For once not in that ever-present immortal coat-and-shirt combination he's had for years. If it hadn't been for Manjoume's hair, he might not've recognized the duelist. (Totally would have, but it was tempting to walk past him once or twice and "not see" him.) Good thing Bakugou's not much of a prankster person. Certainly not on a first date.

Likewise, the explosive hero has turned up in a casual outfit, jacket and open-collared tee over jeans giving him that rough edge he usually goes for. Hands in his pockets like normal and scowl on his face that only someone dating him would take as indifference rather than a "get the fuck away from me" look. What a bad case of RBF.

Luckily for him, Bakugou only has to deal with telling nosy friends he's not available for the evening and doesn't get into detail when they pester him about it. Two correctly guessing he has a date with Manjoume and almost "winning" a grenade to the face as prize.

While Bakugou can't see the card spirits like Manjoume and his ilk can, he doesn't doubt their existence. Figuring that's who Manjoume is growling to when he approaches him.]

Scram.

[That's to them.]

Hey.

[And that's to his hot date.]

[thundercrashes]

[The Ojamas startle at Bakugou's appearance and words to them--they know that Bakugou can't actually see them, but they find him intimidating enough sometimes to actually clear out and poof away. This is one of those moments, as he tells them to scram with enough force that's almost convincing that he was able to see them pestering Manjoume right now, and so they quickly disappear back to wherever it is Duel Monsters go when their spirits are not haunting Manjoume.

Manjoume for his part isn't bothered at all by Bakugou telling his Duel Spirits to get lost--at least, not for today. Instead he looks a little relieved to see them leave so that he can turn his attention to his boyfriend.]

Hey. Thanks for coming.

[blastedass]

[He's going to take Manjoume's relaxed expression and the way his shoulders move to suggest whatever was bothering him has wisely heeded his orders and fled the premises. One day he's going to find out how to blast those things... Though usually they don't tend to hang around when he's there. Likely because Manjoume sets some ground rules hard. Not that they're always obeyed, considering what his boyfriend can gripe about at times.

He wonders if this is how Midoriya is at times, dealing with the vestiges of the previous One for All wielders. Who knows. Maybe he won't ask. He's got better things to do right now.]

You didn't think I was going to stand you up, did you?

[He better not've...]

[thundercrashes]

Of course not. You're not the type of guy to do something like that.

[Was there a possibility that Bakugou could be late? Sure, shit happens, but not once did Manjoume actually think he would be stood up here.

Though, now that Bakugou is here, he wonders what the appropriate thing to do is here. They're dating, so should he offer his hand now when pulling him along into the theater with him? Kiss him in greeting? He had no trouble doing that when they were on the roof, but they were alone then, as opposed to a very public street outside the theater.

After a moment, Manjoume seems to settle on the first idea so as not to be too heavy on the PDA right off the bat in case Bakugou would prefer more subtlety, as he holds his hand up in offering.]

Are you ready to head in?

Then don't thank me for showing up when I agreed to it, baka.

[Being a petty grump, but Manjoume should know that one already. And screw off for thinking he'd be late as well! If that happened, it'd be because a villain or disaster struck and he had to go be a big damn hero all of a sudden. Bakugou would still call or send a text at least... you know, before Manjoume checked the news and saw his date.

Bakugou looks at the hand offered to him, upper lip curling and eyebrow arching upward like he's either confused about the hand or weirded out it's being offered. His hands are in his pockets for a reason, dammit! Holding hands is for sissies!

... but apparently not for boyfriends, because Manjoume gets a brief-] Tch! [-before Bakugou whaps his hand into the other boy's and drags it (and his boyfriend) down to his side. Rude? Maybe. Possessive? Most likely.]

Who's not ready to see a movie?

[How dare you be polite, Manjoume. Sheesh. It's not like he appreciates it or anything.]

Wow, remind me to never thank you for anything ever then...

[Grump grump grump... but then Bakugou's palm slaps against his own and he's dragged closer to Bakugou's side. Well, at least that gesture appears to have been well received, and for his part, Manjoume's fingers curl around Bakugou's in his own possessive hold to keep the other boy from potentially letting go sooner than Manjoume wants him too. No take backsies on this one Bakugou, as he drags him over to the ticket stand to grab their tickets for the movie.]

Should we get anything from the concession stand, or do you want to wait until after the movie to eat anything?

When I want to.

[Bakugou's words are less grumpy that time, more grumbled because he's suddenly got Manjoume right next to him with his hand in his, and it's giving him a lot of reminders to their time on the roof. Kissing, resting, sitting on each other, all that intimate stuff. He never really put much thought into dating or having a boyfriend, always focusing on his studies, training, and heroics. But here he is, getting ready to go on a date with Manjoume Jun.

The way those fingers wrap around his hand gives a sensation of possessiveness that Bakugou can't tell himself he doesn't like. It feels nice. Maybe not so much the dragging, but he picks up his pace so Manjoume doesn't get to haul him around the entire time. Sheesh, what an eager guy.]

Popcorn. [If they're going for the whole movie experience, sharing a bag of popcorn has to happen! Damn American tradition.] Salted or not?

[And here's to whether or not the ticket teller recognizes the famous duelist and hero...]

[The ticket seller initially doesn't seem to recognize them, clearly a retail worker going through the motions as they ring up the ticket prices and print them out. Only once they are handing them over does the ticket seller finally look at their faces and pause, making the familar face of recognition and like they want to say something... but Manjoume doesn't give them the chance to as he takes the tickets from their hand and pulls Bakugou along right past them with his other hand so that they can go to the concession stand to get their popcorn.]

Salted is fine with me, though we'll definitely need to get some drinks with it too.

[The concession stand employee seems to recognize them right away though, or at least Manjoume first--since Bakugou's not in hero costume, maybe they haven't recognized him just yet too, while unfortunately Manjoume by comparison... well, even with his casual attire, he normally doesn't cover his face with a domino mask or anything like that, so it seems he's the first of the two the employee fixates on.]

"Hey, wait, aren't you that Lightning guy!? The one that used those Ojamas in the recent tournament, right? That was pretty funny, a friend of mine and I were laughing when we saw those things appear on the field while watching the tournament on tv..."

[Manjoume's eye twitches in response to this, but somehow manages to keep his tone even, though he does quickly correct--]

It's "Manjoume Thunder", actually.

[Bakugou's not going to complain about the lack of recognition. Despite his love for the spotlight and praise for his results, the life of a popular hero with fans and people swarming for pictures and autographs mostly pisses him off. Can't even go out on a date without people getting in his fucking business. It's why he sometimes wears baseball caps or hoodies when he goes out. Meaning when the teller does finally get that "oh mi gawd" look on their face, Bakugou's eyes narrow in preparation to tell them off.

Luckily Manjoume's quicker and pulls them away before anything can go boom. He doesn't look back, moving alongside his boyfriend with a mild glare at getting yanks like that.]

No shit. [He's not going to parch himself. Though he's back to being needled, this time by the employer recognizing Manjoume first rather than Dynamight. (Go figure.) He'll take some immature revenge by letting the duelist take the stupid attention. Even with heroes having their identities publicly known, Dynamight still opted for a mask (cause it makes him look cool, shut up). Have a snarky grin from the side, Manjoume.

Before getting pissed again.]

Oy, asshole. [Yeah, not keeping his tone even at all.] No one's paying you for a conversation. They're called monsters, not things; now take the damn order.

[Protective boom bitch, in'he...]

[thundercrashes]

[The employee jolts a little at the sudden interruption, mouth turning downward into a scowl for a moment, but otherwise begins to punch in the order on their screen finally for their popcorn and drinks.]

"Yeesh, no need to get so angry like that..."

[Manjoume, however, is grateful that Bakugou said something, even if it was rude; maybe now they can hurry this up already and get to their seats rather than potentially get side-tracked. However, as Manjoume is handing over the money once the order has finally been properly put in, the employee decides to speak again.]

"So anyway, uh... do you think I could get an autograph or something really quick? My little brother is a fan of those Ojama th--monsters of yours and likes watching them, even if they're still kind of gross and weird to look at."

[Manjoume sighs--they're not wrong, the Ojamas are ugly little shits, but it still feels like a backhanded attempt somehow at trying to get back in his good graces here as he glances at his boyfriend here.]

Are you carrying a pen on you that I can borrow?

[blastedass]

[The fuck are you scowling at him for, bastard? You're the one that stupidly called his boyfriend's ace monsters fucking things! And decidedly not doing your job at the same time. Double strike in one breath.]

You say something?

[That's a warning. Don't bitch at him for being an asshole, asshole. At least it's not said with the flames of irritation licking behind him. As the order's processed, Bakugou eases off the glowering, shifting back into his usual RBF... glowering. He twitches a brow when the employee opens his dumb mouth again.

"So anyway" he says?! What the fuck, did he not hear him?! ... Oh, an autograph. And the guy corrects himself by calling the Ojamas monsters. Guess he won't bite his head off, because even heroes like giving out autographs.

Look, the Ojamas are weird to look at. Most everyone's gonna agree on that.

He hands over a pen once Manjoume asks for one. Here. Bakugou's getting the popcorn.]

[thundercrashes]

[Thankfully for Bakugou, Manjoume doesn't allow this autograph session to drag out very long--he scrawls out a quick signature on the next piece of paper that gets shoved at him by the employee, before grabbing their drinks so that they can finally leave and head inside the theater, but not without a last word at the employee.]

There, but don't go spreading it around to the rest of your coworkers or anyone else that we're even here, we'd like to have some goddamn peace watching our movie, yeah? I can assure you that my partner here is going to explode and kick your teeth out otherwise.

[Probably not a polite PR move to threaten to unleash his boyfriend onto some employee for annoying him, but Manjoume does not particularly care today as he makes to catch up with Bakugou here.]

[Bakugou would be miffed if it took Manjoume more than a second or two to sign his name. Though he's not exactly against it. Getting recognized as someone famous and exemplary is something a lot of heroes live for. Manjoume deserves his recognition. Bakugou samples the popcorn in the meantime, not adding any further outburst to avoid dragging more attention to themselves.]

Did you just threaten to fucking sic me on him?

[Enjoy that glaring stink eyes from the explosive hero when you catch up to him, Manjoume. Granted, he's not wrong; Bakugou would've gone ballistic at the guy for making them late to their movie.]

[thundercrashes]

[Manjoume just gives him a look back.]

What? I'm not wrong in saying you would probably kick his ass in that scenario, am I?

[So it's fine, he can threaten people with his cool boyfriend, right...]

Of course I would've! I didn't come here to get gawked at by a buncha drooling extras!

[Better keep an eye on that popcorn so he doesn't accidentally angry salt it into oceanic oblivion while raging over his shoulder.]

Yeah, that's what I thought. So maybe cool it a bit before you end up drowning our popcorn there.
