The dialogue was about what I expected from this kind of movie, but yeah, the action was fun enough.

[Once he's satisfied that he doesn't have any popcorn kernels or the like stuck to his clothing, Manjoume stands and stretches a bit here before he will reach to pick up some of their stuff here too to help dispose of before they leave.]

You didn't get too full on popcorn, right? We have plans for eating out after this, if you're still good with that.

I heard the actor did his own stunt for the car jump.

[Always a big marketing thing, whether you had the balls to do your own work or left it to a stunt double to take the risk. Bakugou is tempted to flick a popcorn piece into Manjoume's hair... not like he'd notice... but opts not to because he kinda actually loves the guy.]

Hell no. You ate more of it than I did. [Really, Bakugou? Really?] Lets go.

[thundercrashes]

The hell I did. I'm pretty sure I saw you grabbing quite a few handfuls yourself.

[Manjoume retorts right back at him, but follows along nonetheless out of the theater room. Thankfully, nobody looks in their direction as they come out, at least not long enough to stare and recognize either of them for now.

He doesn't immediately make to grab Bakugou's hand like he had when walking into the theater, if only because there's a lot more people around now than there were earlier. But maybe once they're outside and alone again, then he'll make the offer again if Bakugou is fine with it.]

I didn't grab handfuls!

[But he also wasn't popping them in one dainty piece at a time. Sheesh, he doesn't eat like a fucking monster (or like some of the guys in his class would). Bakugou's grateful for the lack of recognition. For the little boy who dreamed of being recognized and praised everywhere he went, the teenager quickly found out why that's fucking annoying fast.

The offered hand takes a bit for him to recognize it's being offered, but once they're back on the sidewalk, walking away from the theater... yeah, he slips his hand into his boyfriend's, other hand in his pocket as the cool air wisps around them. Stupid ass winter...]

[thundercrashes]

[Normally, Manjoume takes a great deal of pleasure and pride when he is recognized somewhere, but today... for once, he just wants today to be about Bakugou and their date here. And he's pleased that Bakugou takes his offered hand, despite the cool air when they're outside. Manjoume keeps his other hand in his own pocket as well to stay warm, but the one holding Bakugou's is fine since it has the warmth that Bakugou's own hand is currently providing as they begin to head toward their next destination.]

Have you thought about what you're going to order already, or are you waiting until we get there to look at the menu?

[Pride and pleasure definitely come with getting recognized, but it's the time that follows, when people clog and crowd and suddenly he's dealing with bullshit questions and people shoving things at him that quickly turns that elation into exasperation and anger. Very cat. Attention loving when he wants and then suddenly that undefined "enough" hits to bite. But none of that's happening now as he rests his hand in his boyfriend's and walks through the evening air.

Manjoume's hand is warm too. Agile, lithe, and strong. A duelist's hand.]

I'll wait. We're not on a time schedule.

[thundercrashes]

Mm, fair enough.

[Manjoume is about to say something else, but it's at this moment that there's a sudden pop of color near his right eye in the form of Ojama Yellow.]

"Boss, Bosssssss, can we get sweets, you're getting sweets at the place that you're going, right?"

[Manjoume sighs, batting the Ojama away from his face, grumbling at them.]

Do you mind, we're still busy right now and don't need you popping in, even if the movie is over. And why do you guys care what I eat while I'm out, you don't even need to eat any food yourselves...

"But the sweet stuff is always really pretty and colorful to look at!"

[Ugh. Manjoume rolls his eyes as he turns his attention to Bakugou and proceeding to ignore the Ojama once more.]

Sorry, they're being annoying again. At least they actually refrained from talking during the movie this time...

[He might not be able to see them, but knows exactly what Manjoume's talking to when he starts rambling irritably to himself. Took a bit for Bakugou to actually believe it, but he saw enough results to accept that reality.

Doesn't mean he likes the pestering spirits interrupting his time with Manjoume.]

Tell 'em to piss off. We're busy.

[He's tried to blast them once or twice, but that really just results in almost blowing his boyfriend, so...]

[thundercrashes]

You can tell them yourself, you know they can hear you.

[In fact, Ojama Yellow grumbles about being told that, even as indirectly as Bakugou does.]

"He can't tell us what to do, we only listen to the Boss-"

And you barely even do that half the time. So if you actually care about listening this time, then go back to not interrupting our date already.

[Said with another shooing motion of the Ojama away from his head here with his free hand.]

[Yeah that's the problem. Just hear him. He can't grab their stupid faces and threaten to blow them up if they don't get lost.

Instead, he tracks the location of Manjoume's hand and the general area of where the spirit probably is due to that hand, before immediately snapping his own out and punching the air.]

Scram!

[Whether he got the little shit or not isn't entirely important? But it feels better than just doing fuck all.]

[thundercrashes]

"Ah!"

[Bakugou misses, but Yellow does in fact quickly poof away to avoid the other's punch in the air anyway, before reappearing clinging to one of Manjoume's hair spikes.]

"Gosh, I don't know why you like this guy sometimes Boss, he's so mean... I'm going back to the others until he goes away!"

[Yellow disappears, which gets Manjoume to sigh in relief, using his free hand to brush his bangs back for a second.]

Okay, he's gone away again for now. Thanks.

[Technically he's always going to "miss" some fucking ethereal spirit, but at least he'll get the satisfaction of knowing he made the damn thing disappear for a bit. Tch, sucks he can't see them. So he can be sure of that.

It'd be a complete lie to say he isn't curious at least a little bit about how they bug his boyfriend. But he won't say that because fuck no. Instead, he'll just have to rely on Manjoume to give him the all clear.

The soft exhale more or less confirms it for him. Tch, didn't need that damn bang brush either. It's hot, okay?]

Does every card have one of those?

[thundercrashes]

Not all of them, no. But too many cards out there do, so sometimes I'll see more of these spirits with other duelists while walking around in public, but most of the time they keep to their own decks or whatever rather than bother me.

[In fact, usually it's the Ojamas that have to be wrangled in a bit sometimes if they see a particularly interesting spirit while out and about and go racing off wanting to socialize with them... or they see a scary looking Duel Monster and fret the whole time in his ear, much to his annoyance.]

Huh. The Ojamas aren't one of a kind though. Do other people have to deal with them? [Meaning the ones that have a connection with the Duel Spirits. Bakugou obviously doesn't have a connection, though he's picked up the game thanks to dating one of the greats and has a few decks of his own. Of course they're competitive. Who the fuck do you think he is?

He's heard of rare cards, with only one, two, or three in existence. And then there's the generics that are splashed in many decks or packs, even if they have famous representation at times. A cold wind blows and he steps curls his fingers through Manjoume's.] Hot pot or Korean grill?

[thundercrashes]

My classmates that can see and hear Duel Spirits are able to talk to them too, but they're stuck with me since I have their cards. I have yet to meet anyone who actually plays Ojamas, and has to deal with their spirits attached to them either though, so who knows.

[This is accompanied by a shrug. He tries not to think too hard about the thought that there might be more Ojamas out there...

(Just wait until he finds out about Ojama Blue, Red, and Pink and ends up getting those cards.)]

All of your classmates?

[There are only a few of the current Academy graduating year that have made the fame like Manjoume and Judai. Surely he didn't mean that the entire lot was able to see them. Though Manjoume's not wrong; he's the only one Bakugou's ever met that had the skill and knowledge to pilot such a inverse deck.

Then again, there's a reason Manjoume's in the top spot. Bakugou has watched many of his duels, even furrowed his brows and grit his teeth when he came upon tight moments. But Manjoume always prevailed and he never doubted his boyfriend for a moment. (Enjoy learning about those crazy combos.)]

Good. It's closer and better. [Plus a grill is more fun than a boiling cauldron.]

[thundercrashes]

No, not all of them. There's Judai and Johan, and then the random one or two kids from other classes that seem to be able to sense them. Though, there was one time that Shou and the others were able to see and hear them briefly too, but...

[A pause.]

I'd rather not go into too much detail about the circumstances of that particular incident right now.

[The alternate dimension where the Duel Monsters could be seen by everyone there and be traumatized by them is not exactly great date conversation.]

Did I ask about the damn circumstances?

[Not needed to tell him something so obvious. He can take a non-verbal hint. Bakugou tilts to the side, leading into a turn that pulls Manjoume with him to the next street. The restaurant is little more than a ten minute walk. They can make it without a problem. Young and strong after all.]

So if something is coming that'll destroy the world, you get to tell everyone else about it.

[It's half serious, half taunting. Yeah, trying to convince people a single Duel Monster game could save the world would be extremely difficult. But then again, a single hero battling a single villain or a global threat could be the same deal. Bakugou doesn't underestimate the Duel Monsters or their Duelists.

Though he wouldn't particularly mind being able to chat with some of the cards he considers cool...]

Pretty much. Provided that my Duel Spirits are not somehow oblivious and fail to give an advance notice if there's something they would have noticed before I do.

[Which, given what the Ojamas are like... it's entirely possible.]

And those idiots have fucked that up before, huh?

[Just assuming, but giving Manjoume's words and tone, that feels like a good enough opinion. The Ojamas, from what he's heart at least, seem more invasive than entirely helpful. Then again, people who like getting noticed might end up making the best "news hunters" to have a reason to butt in.]

A little. They have a bad habit of overreacting over something that isn't actually a big deal, or they were allegedly distracted or didn't notice this whole other thing going on.

[Not to say that they are completely useless. He's actually being nice here by refraining from going that far.]

So they're not reliable as a warning.

[Great, they're active at interrupting people for bullshit rather than doing something useful with themselves. What a bunch of assholes. Bakugou rolls his eyes at the information and elbows the button on the light post to signal the crosswalk alert.]

I guess you can't just keep their cards in another room?

[Like when he and Manjoume are fucking...]

Yeah I can, but I can't really stop them from like, floating through the wall back out of the room if they wanted to.

[What with being ghosts, and all.]

Which, that actually is one thing they're good for. They can go into rooms I can't get in and then tell me what's in them or who is hanging around. Came in handy once when we were dealing with a thief during our first year at Duel Academy.

[There's a pause, and then--]

They won't go into the bathroom, or bother us while we're... you know, if that's what you're worried about. They're idiots, but not that invasive of my personal space, thankfully.

There's not some kinda damn radius they're stuck at?

[Not that he's intending to suggest Manjoume abandon his cards somewhere while they're together. Bakugou's just curious. Most of the time the spirits don't bother them while they're together.]

Tch, hope that asshole got slaughtered when you all found him.

[Because thieves fucking suck. Cowardly and spineless. Sure, sometimes it's required, but Bakugou's never liked the notions of stealing as a negative. He'd rather wipe the opponent out, then straight up take the prize.]

Haa?! I'm not worried about that shit at all!!

For the Ojama's, about a building's worth if I am in it, as far as radius is concerned... it depends on the duel spirit in question and how much power they can try to manifest to appear here...

[As for those thieves... well.]

Or if they cheat using special items or some shit, like that thief I mentioned: they were Duel Spirits that had found a way to have human bodies and interact with everyone. Kicked their ass in a duel, obviously, and they went back to being normal Duel Spirits... that are also now haunting my place, because for some reason they all seem to think I'm running a halfway house for wayward spirits.

[Translation: Manjoume was too nice to leave them drifting and your boyfriend is actually even more hella haunted than you probably thought he was.]
