[ Because he's a nerd with a rambling habit. Izuku startles and manages to catch himself before he falls off the arm of the couch. Mostly. ]

[That actually felt good to do. Whap. At least it shuts him up and Katsuki brings to book down to his chest. Bookmark's already in his place, so closing it's not a problem.]

Well...I had a few things I wanted to talk about. It's December. Er, Zircum.

[ He's still at the angle where he's sort of looming. Weird being taller for a moment. ]

And, um, I'm sure you already noticed about a departure...

[Katsuki tilts his head back and looks up at him from his upside down vantage point. Most of the time, Izuku's been the one looking up at him, with Katsuki mocking him that he lost the "fight" again.

Weird position... especially since the first time he ever found himself in it was when Izuku shocked his brain but judo flipping him during their first match. IN FRONT OF EVERYONE!!]

... He's back home. That's what matters.

[Losing Shinsou hurt. At least Kirishima had come and gone in a flash. But...]

I know, but... [ Hesitation. He doesn't want Katsuki to take something meant kindly the wrong way, but he doesn't want to avoid saying it... ] ...I just wanted to check on you, I guess.

[ Because he worries. He's pretty sure they'd gotten to be friends, and Katsuki's not exactly gungho about making those. ]

I know you hate talking about that kind of thing but if you ever do feel like it, I'll listen. Or if you ever just feel like blowing someone up, we can spar.

[Katsuki scoffs at the implication.]

You're the crybaby. Not me.

[He was fine. He noticed Shinsou's contact was gone. Checked again half an hour later. Then went out for three hours and destroyed a huge swatch of the beach on that ocean island venting his em- ... energy.]

It happened. He's gone. We can't do shit about it and we should be happy he's back home. What we should talk about is what happens is more show up.

[ Wryly. Having any feelings at all doesn't qualify, he thinks... ]

I just...want you to know you can rely on me. For anything.

[Relying on other people is not what he's grown up believing in. Even if his time at U.A. has taught him the value of teamwork and that he can trust others to help him, he still refuses to admit or ask for it.

Izuku simply being here around him is how Katsuki relies on him. A constant presence, a daily bit of "home" he can hold onto.]

You aren't breaking down over it?

[ So the biggest potential loss hasn't happened for him to have to live through. ]

[He says it so easily, but in the wake of Shinsou vanishing... he's still gonna fucking say it.]

The, um. You saw some of the new people? [ The ones who may or may not stay. It's always a weird time. ] You wanted to talk about what to do about that...?

...permanently? [ He's the one who wants to give people the benefit of the doubt, so it's mostly confused about why Katsuki thinks this. ]

[At least if they're here in the house, if they leave, Katsuki and Izuku can know first and handle it.

Some of this is the emotional whiplash of Shinsou vanishing right when the Todoroki brothers show up, but he's made his mind up.]

[Bakugou arches a brow at the insinuation, but it clarifies with the follow up comment. He huffs in understanding. Right. Dabi wouldn't be much a rule follower now would he. Shouto wouldn't have a problem, though he might have a "why" following it.

That said, Bakugou feels there's only a low chance the villain will accept, so he's not too worried.]

I don't think we'll have to deal with that. [An gives him a wry look.] Though we did fuck, loudly, in someone's backyard in the village.

[Not saying that should throw their preference out the window or anything. It's more just a tease. Though he solemns up after.]

Shinsou's gone... I hate the feeling of losing someone... but I'm glad he's gone back home.

Kacchan, I...want you to have whatever makes you feel more comfortable here. If that's inviting anyone from home who shows up to live here, then go for it. But...

[ There's definitely the not being able to have sex in common areas aspect that they'd change, and Izuku's a little leery of loud sex in the house with other people, but those aren't even the main things giving him pause. ]

It wouldn't be fair to invite people to reside permanently and not expect them to get a full say in house rules, and it absolutely wouldn't be fair to impose that one thing we agreed on way back when just so I felt comfortable. It was barely fair of me to ask of you, let alone other people.

[ And Izuku isn't sure he's capable of dealing with taking that rule back, so... ]

But, I do have enough saved up that I can buy my own place, and I'll look around some this weekend. Anyway, that wasn't really why I was looking for you originally...

[That makes him look up at the other boy, eyes not so much narrowed as they are focused.]

Forget it. I won't make the offer.

[Everything Izuku said was fine, understandable, but the last part immediately axes the entire thing. Which is kind of good, since he'd just been able to ask Izuku about his thoughts. Katsuki said what he was thinking, and now the other half of the homeowner should get his say.]

You're more important to me.

[The request is selfish and part of it, as he acknowledged before, is somewhat kneejerk due to losing Shinsou and suddenly finding Shouto here. But the thought of losing Izuku wipes out everything else. It's as easy as that.]

We made that agreement together and I've never chafed under it.

[This time, his eyes do narrow.]

So don't you dare suggest moving out again.

Um.

[ He's gearing up to argue for a moment, but pauses, chewing his lips. ]

What if we put an offer on one of the houses or plots of land adjacent to us? Jiro-san's still here too, but we definitely have the most credits out of anyone else. I don't know how she'd feel about moving to be nearer but I don't think she'd mind it.

[ He doesn't mention the adults because he's pretty sure they don't want to live with the rampant teens. ]

[That... was a smart decision for two reasons. One, Katsuki had been thinking the same in case there was push back. Two, he most certainly would've argued violently if Izuku had tried to back down from his previous stance. So they get to avoid a fight and Katsuki nods.]

That was gonna be my next suggestion.

[They'd have to talk to Jiro and Shoto, but he has a feeling neither of them would mind either. Dabi... Laughable, but he'll talk to him. The guy might be more comfortable in the government apartments. Bakugou has a feeling he'd be completely against someone offering him a normal place to live. Like bringing a stray dog into a nice house.

It's not what someone like that's used to.

And yeah, he's pretty sure Endeavor and Hawks are already living together, so fuck asking them to move.]

[ Izuku does want their friends closer - and he doesn't actually object to villains being closer either (though he wonders if Katsuki would let, say, Shigaraki near him around now) - so he doesn't mind spending money on the issue. It's not like either of them buys much otherwise. ]

Then...we can ask. Although, we may need to talk to Todoroki-kun and Jiro-san first before we extend the offer to Dabi? Though...if there's any way we can all agree to an official truce while we're here, that would probably be for the best.

[ He's not planning on trying to start a war or anything, but making that clear at the outset might stall future issues. ]

And we should discuss whether or not this would extend to anyone from home, or not.

[It depends. While he's not fond of the villains, and plans on keeping an eye on Dabi and at least some genuine contact with him, he still has a loyalty to those from his world. In this place, the Diamond Guards are proficient enough to keep most crime to a boring minimum. With the network, people can easily call out violent actions, identify the perpetrators, and the guards will do the rest. Ergo, Bakugou's pretty sure the villains from their world are going to have a fucking hard time pulling off any real villainy here.

So... while he wouldn't be outright friendly to Shigaraki, Bakugou wouldn't object to him being in their proposed Hero World neighborhood. Who knows. Villains being treated like normal fucking humans might be good for them. For once. Something he's thought of here due to interactions with other people.

And yeah, similar to Izuku, money's not much an issue for them. They can afford to set up classmates and teachers.]

That's fine. I'll bring it up to him. I was with him in his cell when he got thrown in there. Gave him a rundown of this shithole.

[Because he knew exactly what being on those detention centers was like. Three days of it. On a gurney. With a fucking Muzzle!]

Dunno about a truce. It's more "start shit and the guards will break you in half." At least he knows we're all against Malachite if we want to go home.

You know I wouldn't withhold it from anyone.

[ Even if that decision ended up killing him. His hang ups begin and end at having gotten attached to their living set up over the past almost half a year and feeling uncomfortable with changing it completely.

He is concerned about their usual villain's propensity for murder - but he...doesn't think the Diamond Guards will allow any of them to continue being serial killers. ]

The risk of other people being hurt worries me, but I'm more than willing to take on the risk of being hurt for this. I think it's a good idea.
