Living with just his mother, Izuku was used to splitting work down the middle, or taking more of it on if she was busy...

But his mother wasn't a fiercely independent semi-misanthrope. Treating it like a two person Heights for a while should be fine, and Izuku is a naturally neat person (sans a tendency to collect objects and very low level clutter in his room from the habit) so he probably won't need to be yelled at to keep things neat. ]

[Don't question his logic. He's just saying he's not cooking dinner for you. So if Izuku wants to eat together, then he'll have to make his own. It's likely Katsuki will be open to kitchen schedules at least, so they're not trying to make two different things at the same time in the kitchen. While Katsuki's definitely used to having the chores and juggling the responsibilities of cooking and cleaning with his parents, it's still not the same with Izuku.

There's still a barrier there and it's not "best friends" moving into a house. It's a pair of rivals and one of them has ISSUES with the other. Slowly dealing with them, but ISSUES all the same.

Eventually he'll probably calm down and relax enough they'll move into something more natural for people living together. That or something'll get too unbearable and he'll just "FINE" cave in and adjust himself. It happens on rare occasions. There are no All Might props and toys here, unfortunately, so he's not too worried about the house turning into a clutter fest.]

It's got nothing to do with advantage. For now, I want to keep things separate like the Heights.

[ So he's planning to merge things eventually? Izuku won't question it much more right now. He's already gotten as many concessions as he really wanted to chase in terms of their living situation and he's not interested in forcing Katsuki to meet him halfway on every little thing. He imagines they'll kind of shift into that merge naturally or with some kind of argument later, as is usual for them.

[That's the plan. Mostly in that he'll likely deal with the cooking or they'll end up taking turns or something. Schedule trash days or end up playing janken and fighting over it. Who mows the lawn (you're an emerald, tell the grass to fucking behave). Cleaning the guest bathroom, since they're each responsible for the own fucking rooms. No argument will be had on that latter account.

[ No worries, Katsuki, Izuku will never try to get you to clean his room or bathroom. Unless you broke in to blow up either? But that seems unlikely. And if Katsuki ever took over the lion's share of the cooking due to being better at it, Izuku would insist on taking over the cleaning up. He's not the sort to coast and be taken care of, or the kind of guy who leeches off others. He likes to keep busy and useful.

A thumbs up emoji appears next to Katsuki's text as Izuku lets the conversation fade out.

At the appointed time he'll have found a bench near the pier to wait on, though, relaxed and scrolling through the network as he waits. Sometimes it's just entertaining to read the posts. ]

[That's not his worry. Hell, he's not "worried" about any of that! More trying to avoid getting pissed off (haha, like that's possible) when planning on living with the guy who pisses him off the most in the entire world. Well, getting lesser nowadays, but old habits are hard to kill. That said, if it turns out he cooks, Izuku cleans, it's likely not going to be hard to talk him into accepting that trade. Katsuki's not the kind to take care of someone, so at least Izuku's safe from that sort of treatment...

He ignores the text and goes about the rest of his time doing whatever the fuck.

The sun's going down by the time he arrives at the pier, finding Izuku and walking up behind him to look over his shoulder like a creep for a few seconds.]

Katsuki makes sure to tilt back before talking, just so he doesn't get a green mop rocketing up into his jaw and making him bite his fucking tongue off.
