[If Katsuki had a problem with it, he'd say so. Considering how aggressive and violent the explosive blonde can be, he's almost always ready for a fight. This isn't "using" him at all. This is something he enjoys. Fair and eager.
Whoosh! Right for the throat. Katsuki jerks his head back, jetting one hand up so Yuji's fist connects with the pad in a solid "smack!" Shit, even with the pad, the sorcerer's punches sting.
He's already bringing the right one down in a punch towards Yuji's side.]
[ The thing is: Yuji doesn't even try to dodge it.
That's never been the kind of fighter he is. He has good reflexes, he has the ability to move, but that's not what he's into right now. As soon as the punch hits, he adjusts, shifting out of the way of any follow-up, not bothering to use his cursed energy to protect himself from the sheer strength of Katsuki's touch.
It's not about using his full potential right now.
Instead, he drops, sweeping down, trying to sink into his usual manji kick as best he can. ]
[They're gonna have to work on that... lack of dodging thing. Yuji reminds him of a boxer at times, taking hits in order to get in close and land a powerful strike. Different from Katsuki who uses speed and reflex to avoid hits. Not cause he's weak, but cause he's proud.
Yuji ducks out of the way from the hit and Katsuki immediately predicts that manji kick. (Yes, he's tried it a few times himself, cause he's a nerd.) It takes both hands to block it, slamming into the mitts with a hard impact. Katsuki skids back on his feet slightly, teeth grit... then shoves said leg back down in an attempt to throw Yuji off balance.]
[ It's harder to get him shoved off balance than it might have been otherwise, and Yuji almost growls as he tries to kick forward, to swing his leg out of control, out of Katsuki's grip, breathing out sharply. Forcing the limb down, he ducks, then he twists, trying to kick the other boy's legs out from under him.
It's all instinct, all without thought, because that's how Yuji fights. It's how he's always fought. ]
[Cause he's still got both hands on the ground and another foot! Katsuki answers that growl with a snarl of his own, suddenly finding the leg he's pushing on vanish.] Fuc-!
[And promptly gets his other legs knocked right out from under him. Eyes widen at the impact, and how Yuji switched legs from that position so seamlessly. He's gonna remember that.
Hands slam into the ground and he rebounds off them, powerful shoulders absorbing the shock of that unnatural angle. But it still gets him arching back over, one leg dropping in an axe kick towards his grounded partner.]
[ Yuji is too low to really dodge the kick, so he turns his body just enough that it doesn't connect perfectly with his jaw, shifting so it hits the bulk of his shoulder instead. It's going to bruise, but that doesn't matter, not when he's rising up to swing.
It feels good, to get some of this adrenaline out of him, to grind his body forward and shove, to try and beat the anger and hurt out of his system. It's better than talking about it; he talked himself hoarse with Raidou this morning.
Let Katsuki beat the shit out of him. It's easier. ]
[Don't let him break your damn jaw, idiot. Katsuki isn't pulling his punches (sans Quirk obviously) since he knows Yuji can heal off the injuries far easier than he can. So long as Raidou doesn't show up later questioning his boyfriend's bruises...
But he's not going to beat the shit out of Yuji either. Even if the sorcerer doesn't care for himself right now, Katsuki does. That said, he's not going easy on him.
As soon as his heel hits his shoulder, Katsuki pivots forward to aim a punch towards Yuji's stomach, intending to keep that shoulder pinned underfoot.]
[ That's what has Yuji moving, and for a moment he thinks he ought to test himself, test Katsuki, and he watches briefly before he flashes, disappearing from under Katsuki's grip and then reappearing out of nowhere, behind him, fists raised.
Teleportation chips are useful in more than one way, it seems.
Charging forward, he does what he can to leap forward, to grab at his friend by the neck and try to swing him backwards. ]
[What the-?! Katsuki blinks when Yuji fucking vanishes! His fist hits the ground, his foot hits the ground, and there's no one beneath him. For a split second, Romania looms up in his mind, a haunting memory of people he cared about blinking out of existence with zero chance for him to do a goddamn thing about it!
You little-!! [Urk! Right around the neck. He tightens instantly to avoid getting gagged as the ground and world turn into a whirl. Swing back, it's all airborne for a fleeting moment until he tucks and hits the mat in a roll.
[ The roll is good, and fun, and Yuji almost laughs, almost forgets how much he's aching as he lets go and shifts, skidding away to raise himself up. He's watching his friend with careful eyes, flickering over his features, before he nods his head. ]
[For his nice words, Katsuki still looks peeved, a vein throbbing on his forehead. Because Yuji got the drop on him? Or because he forget Yuji could? Probably both. Worry not; he's always had fragile pride. It heals up eventually.
ZOOM! Katsuki's blitzing forward with his trademark powerful right hook, fully intending on using the momentum of the swing to pivot into a left roundhouse if he misses.]

Katsuki ends up with a leg locked against Yuji's side, getting that satisfying rush of air, but instantly has to drop his arm to protect his stomach. The impact against the pad goes right through it, jamming his own hand into his abs.
Oof, indeed.
... eff it. Bracing his leg against Yuji's side where it is, Katsuki jumps clean off his remaining limb and aims to land a kick in mid air.]
[ They're not holding back, and that's fine for Yuji; the distraction is working, pulling his mind away from the horrible, haunting nightmare of what Shibuya is.
It hurts, and the physical pain is easier.
Breathing out, he rocks forward, trying to jerk to one side but feeling the scrape and push of Katsuki's foot against his body, stumbling back and groaning. ]
[Just don't ask him to stick needles under your fingernails, man. Katsuki can't fault Yuji for this decision; he's also spent time breaking himself in the training simulation to work off and through his feelings, pains, and frustrations. But those are private, never asking others to help. Maybe he should work on that... but that's admitting others to see him weak and hurting. He struggles with that a lot.
Katsuki's left with both legs down pinned on Yuji's body, one on the side and one on the opposite shoulder. As soon as he stumbles, the blonde's grinning viciously and dropping his upper body down and back. He hits the ground on his forearms and upper shoulders, using his legs to haul and sling the sorcerer over his head.
[Katsuki braces his hands and shoves back up onto his feet in a quick flip, pivoting around to face Yuji again rather than let himself be caught off guard from behind while floored.
No surprise to see the sorcerer already up and raring.]

[Is that how it's gonna be? Katsuki gives him a piercing look, then reaches up and begins tearing the velcro straps off his hands and forearms. Yeah, gloves are coming off, literally. That grin in his face probably needs fangs to be completely true... but easy to imagine.]

Katsuki charges in immediately, but rather than slugging him, ducks low and goes for a shoulder check to the chest.]
Yuji shifts, feeling a flare of something like panicked determination as he darts back, trying to get out of the way, but Katsuki is fast and Yuji has to rock, leaning into his reflexes. He winces, crying out a little before he breathes out and reaches, trying to knee Katsuki's stomach and hit him back.
As hard as he can.
All the emotion, all the hurt, everything he's feeling, flying into a punch. ]
[He's inside his range, not giving Yuji enough time to put the full momentum of a swing into that knee. Or at least, that's what he expected. Yuji's a genius when it comes to brawling. There's full strength even in range. He tightens his stomach as hard as he can, feeling the impact drive up into his abs. Thank fuck he didn't eat anything this morning.
It's enough to make his guts jostle. Right before that punch lands. For a second, Katsuki can't even tell where Yuji hit him. Only that it's hard, it hurts, and he felt what Yuji felt in that moment. Pain, sorrow, frustration, futility, disappointment, rage, loss, all of it.
He comes back from the blow after another moment, blinking and stunned. Yeah... that'll bruise...
AND POWERS THROUGH IT FOR A GRASP AND THROW OVER HIS SHOULDER!!]
[ Yuji thinks, for a moment, that he might have got the upper hand, and it distracts him briefly, a pause of action before he begins to adjust his weight - but it is too slow, far too slow, and his body is immediately thrown.
He hits the ground with a bang, a scoff of noise as he curls up a little, groaning and stretching his body out. It's not the worst pain he's ever felt in his life, it's definitely nothing compared to some of the near-death experiences he's had, but... ]

[ Pushing himself up, he rubs his face. Tired, worn down, bruised - he wants to keep going, but he's not sure how healthy it would be. Ah, well... ]
Here I go.
[ And he is sprinting to try and tackle his friend. ]
[Katsuki's handled a punch from All Might (albeit massively restrained) that sent him into a building. Yuji's been through worse. But that didn't mean the impact was nothing. Fuck, even now it throbs and he rubs at his stomach for a second as well as the punch's landing. Yuji can take the time to get up.
It'd be a lie to say that judo toss wasn't very satisfying. Katsuki straightens and tilts his head from side to side cracking his neck as well as his knuckles below.
Healthy? Che. They can do this for another hour and be good to go by evening. Katsuki's not intending to break Yuji. As the verbal warning and charge power forward, he braces himself-
-then lets his knees buckle and his body fall backwards right as he meets the tackle. A leg hikes, shin pressing to Yuji's torso as he rolls on his back, and uses the momentum of that charge to try and throw his friend over his head again.
Unless Yuji manages to grab him. Then it'll turn into an awkward flop.]
[ Katsuki might not be intending to break Yuji, but it seems as if Yuji is ready to be broken.
He does move, reaching out to grab with both hands and hold on to Katsuki, flopping them together in a tumble and a groan. It's scuffing them both against the floor of the gym, and Yuji spares a moment to be glad that the ground here are soft mats rather than the gravel and dirt that he's used to most days.
Covering his eyes, he rubs at his face before he peers up at Katsuki, almost pouting. Almost. ]
[He's already gathered that. A form of penance, Yuji wants to hurt himself in order to feel better. Either to distract from the heavy emotions or pay for them. Katsuki can't-- won't --help him to that extreme.
But if he wants to fight until he's a winded, throbbing, sweaty mess that needs some "ow! fuck! ow!" treatment afterwards, that he can do.
Resulting in a thud as Katsuki hits the mat and Yuji drops right on top of him, that leg tucked up between them. Oh brilliant. This is awkward. (Considering where the top of Katsuki's foot now is, he could go for a crotch shot. Hey, anything goes, right?) A quick attempt to scuffle on the mat ends up with them grabbing each other like two schoolyard kids mid-tussle. Panting and glaring.
What's with that almost pout?
