I think that we have to keep playing regardless. Just standing around won't solve anything or get us anywhere. So...the truth of the matter doesn't matter, as such?
As always, I don't think we can just jump to conclusions. I'm not saying we can't fight someone if it comes down to it, but I think that listening to the circumstances and keeping an open mind is important.
If you just jump to fighting someone, you can make a wrong call you can't take back. If you'd just beat up that poison gas guy I wanted to talk to, things wouldn't have gone as well as they did, right?
Whether talking works or not isn't the main thing. I think it's important to try it, even if it fails.
["As always" he says. Katsuki scowls at the report on the screen. He can hear Izuku muttering like he was right there in the room with him. Ugh. What a talent...]
What the fuck?!
Have you ever been kidnapped before? It's not a fucking fun feeling, Deku!
I don't give a shit what their reason is for doing it, they still did it! You can talk to them all you want; AFTER I make sure they can't steal anyone else from their home again!
Kacchan, we don't even know that we were brought here deliberately by anyone rather than by some sort of accident or phenomena. I don't think we're going to agree on this, because it's one of those things you're going to jump to one sort of action about.
Don't act like you aren't emotionally compromised right now - which you would give me shit about if it were the other way around.
Did your brain break, Deku? You think an "accident" or phenomena is going to deliberately offer people a wish if they pass certain trials? Someone set this up on purpose and targeted people to bring here.
What?! Who's emotionally compromised?! I'm talking about a future plan!
[Maybe shouldn't be talking about it on Izuku's birthday chatter, but...]
Well, considering that it's just a rumor among players and not something someone is dangling in front of us, I wouldn't call it "deliberate".
That's another reason I'm saying you're not thinking clearly here. You've decided that one thing happened and that a gaming rumor is a malicious act and proof of what you decided happened, but the truth is we don't know what exactly is going on, or the truth of anything.
You can keep insulting me if you want, but you're not thinking calmly or logically and you're insisting on making a plan for just one scenario and refusing to consider other ones. That's always been one of your biggest weaknesses.
[It takes a minute. Being called out on a "biggest weakness" pisses him off, but Katsuki's had a year of experiences to deal with. He's not the same person he was at the start of U.A. And though he doesn't LIKE getting called out...]
It's one plan, if it turns out to be what I suspect it is.
But we can't stumble around doing nothing just because no one's revealed the "truth" yet. If we're not being given answers, we should be prepared to go looking for them.
I think I'd rather we did investigative work to celebrate? I don't want to look back on things later on and say we weren't doing enough. There will be time in the future for relaxing once we're home maybe, but you're right that we've been too lax here.
