[Tucked behind the pillar, he's safe from Scott's attacks, though keeps an eye on the front for any reflective parts the mutant might be using. Of course he set some up in the initial programming; this was part of Scott's training as well as his own. Snagging two chunks of stone from the nearby debris, Bakugo locks on, aims, and slings one after another. Glass shatters in loud evidence as he nails both mirrored surfaces, one only seconds before an optic blast splashes against the now-dull curve.
He reaches to the side and rips the broken target from his back harness. Might leave the weight lopsided, but it frees him of another five pounds. Falling silent, Bakugo holds out for a minute, then slings the target aside. Scott should be watching and waiting; he'd take the bait of movement flickering. At least that's the hope.
More than enough time for Bakugo to blast the opposite side and emerge in a flurry of explosive bursts. Left, right, up, down, back, forward, bouncing between the ruptures as the air heats up and collects around him. Smoke swiftly begins covering the space, broken and torn through by flaming lines and ruptures. Embedded within the sweltering cone, Bakugo drives forward in a spiraling tornado, one hand bursting with a charged-up explosion.]
[He takes the initial bait, that flicker of movement and instantly a red flash of physical force strikes through the air to hit the already blasted target and shit. An obvious distraction, something to briefly take his attention away, and even if it's just a few seconds, it's probably more than enough time for Bakugo to strike back. He wouldn't have expected Bakugo to just keep fleeing during the entire fight-- of course not.
He's glad that he is now fighting him.
The explosions are loud as ever at least, though it's one thing to hear it and another to be prepared for it as his friend starts flying through the air with an explosive thrust-- a fierce sort of momentum that Scott has no time to dodge or move away from. So, he meets his friend head on, his hand abruptly cranking the notch on his visor just a bit stronger-- hopefully enough to meet his friend without hurting him still.
[Trigger finger. Heat scores across his shoulders and face, pulling the breath from his lungs to add with what oxygen's being sucked into the maelstrom of explosion and smoke. His body's a fiery vortex, twisting amid repeating blasts over and over as the world tears away into nothing but orange and white light. Locked on the very center, a single brunet figure stands at the end, rapidly sweeping forward in speed and size.
Bakugo's shown Scott his Ultimate Move before. He never thought he'd be actually trying to hit the mutant teen with it.
KA-BROOM!! Combustion slams into concussive force as his explosion crashes headlong with Scott's optic blast. The entire room goes up in a white flash as the detonation roars outward. Chunks of white scenery and obstacles tear free, flung backwards through he air, crash into walls with heavy smashing noises and shattering. Scott just shot a would be missile strike out of the air, sending both of them sailing opposite directions end over end.
Where's up? What's down? When's the fucking wall gonna-
THUD! Right into the surface. Bakugo bounces once and catches onto an outcropping, snarling in irritation he didn't actually get to land the attack on Scott. Then again, Scott didn't hit him either! HA!
... minus the reality their clashing blowback tore the winged target clean off his back and all but vaporized it.]

HOWITZER-!
[This is him treating Scott as an equal.]
