[It probably does, but Esikko likely wasn't allowed to play with them when he was growing up. Or had to do so all alone and didn't find more than distraction in them. Nothing "fun" people find playing together. He slots a card from his hand and lays down two of a kind on the table between them, starting small for the hand. Nothing's been shown and he'd rather keep the strong options for later.
Red eyes sweep across his cards, shifting with his hand as he makes matches and arranges his cards. Breathing nigh silent with his actions, words carrying the same growling of his usual rough voice. If Esikko wants to take any of those as a tell, he's welcome to gamble, but who knows if Bakugo's aware the prince is trying to scrutinize him. Could be baiting the very thing.]
Che, a lot of people talk while playing. [Unlike movie poker games and professional shows where focus spreads out across the table in silent reign.]
Mm, something similar... Tujeon? They're thinner, longer. With more suits. Things like rabbit, horse, man, star, roe deer...
( Numbers and complicated rules. As Bakugo expects, Esikko never really had the time to properly play games with them, but he did learn the rules of a few.
Man, he can't tell if Bakugo is watching him watching or not. Probably, right? He seems the type that's always aware. So, he could absolutely be baiting. Or, he could be completely relaxed and not even worried about it. Esikko frowns a little, regardless of what his current spread of cards seems to be, and continues on with less worry. Focus just on hands, get the details later... )
But, not just talking. Having fun, you know? That sort of friendly competition.
[Having some familiarity is better than starting out completely cold. The resort already makes them acknowledge hands with their rewards and crap. Esikko's smart. Bakugo won't feel bad stomping his ass. There's no joy in taking out a complete ignorant.
Of course he's watching Esikko! From the peripheral of his vision over his fan of cards, keeping both in his sight. Noting the slender line of his brows and whether they furrow in frustration or arch in delight. His pretty eyes focusing on the cards, noting whether they flick to one side of his card fan in expectation of trumping the set on the table. Little tells which indicate the man's able to beat his current hand or if he'll fold... Does he expect Esikko to try bluffing? Somewhat. But the guy wears some emotions on his sleeve.
There goes his frown. Cute.]
Tch! Friendly competition's just a shitty way of excusing doubt!
