[As Yusuke said, he never wants to owe anyone anything.

But Bakugo deserved a painting he requested; Yusuke can only hope it is in a style he appreciates. Art can be, and is, very subjective, and he wouldn't be offended (much...) if he didn't like it.

As for the nickname- that one's universal, decided on by a group of thieves. Bakugo's can be more.

[...only Yusuke would never have enough money like that to pay off inconveniences. It all goes to his art supplies! ...and food.

He's holed up in his room, going through the paintings he's already made (some already a year old) when he receives the message.

That nickname...]

It's incredibly rude to demand things like that, especially at short notice.

Luckily, I am not preoccupied today. What did you have in mind?

[What is budget? He doesn't know that word. Everything goes to art!!! It's why he's so good now!

...is he asking him out on a date?]

The cake was a thank-you gift. But if you want me to accompany you, I will gladly do so.

What time?

[Is it not?

Looks like a date to Yusuke.

Although, to be fair, it needs to be a perfect angle for Yusuke to recognize one.]

That is true.

Very well. I will wait for you at the entrance of the Valley.

[The hotel staff might take it as a date! If they do, MAYBE they get free shit to encourage... things.

In any case!

Yusuke is punctual as well, arriving mere moments after Bakugo, taking the elevator that the guy probably just stepped out of. Compared to the paintings incident and their messy run-in at the pods, Yusuke looks properly put together. His long-ish hair is pulled back into a small bun just at the nape of his neck, wears long, blue cardigan over white shirt and black trousers. And yes, the bag he has slung over his shoulder does contain a big sketchbook and all sorts of pens.]

Ah! You're here! I hope you didn't wait for me, [Yusuke greets him when he steps out of the elevator and approaches him.]

[It's not a tablecloth! It's... fancy-shmancy stuff Hotel suggests he wears (well, the staff), and that's in the shops. He can't be picky here! And of course, he has his art bag; it's ridiculous to go without it, even if he's already sketched most of this place. He didn't sketch all the people.

Yusuke gives him a nod and a small smile.]

Oh, I am very well acquainted with inexplicably aroused paintings. I've tried removing the atrocity, however, it wouldn't budge. Someone else said it was glued there by the Hotel's magic so removal was impossible. What an awful representation of art and human physique.

[Stop him, Bakugo, or he won't stop yapping and complaining about the horny elevator paintings.]

[...because that's the clothes that are on the offer here? He'd rather not go walking around naked! ..........and it was free. Beggars can't be choosers when they spend all their chips on paints and canvases.]

I usually do. Unless I have to come here, or am carrying my art supplies. They are heavy. [While yes, he can carry many canvases with his incredible (weird) strength (stat (highest in the team!?)), sometimes his hands are way too full to maneuver everything up the stairs. If anything falls out of his hands and breaks would be pure waste of chips!]

That is a good question, [Yusuke pushes hair out of his face.] I remember being trapped in one. By the time I was released, the -event- was done. I was a bit disoriented, I admit, but the number of paintings diminished drastically at once.

Either they were clones of clones, and they all merged into one original painting they came from, or the Hotel and staff managed to neutralize them.

When I go on a big supply run, the most troublesome part is canvases; they are the heaviest. [He NEVER buys just one thing, no one in their sane mind will make twenty trips for all the supplies. Also, there needs to be a general reason why he's the strongest out of everyone on his team with his persona.....]

I wasn't paying attention, yes, it was entirely my fault. [He will admit it, although being called a loser kind of stings... he doesn't have Goemon here to do anything to defend himself, he's just- a guy.]

No. I think that the magic wore out, or the staff managed to reverse it. As I said, my memory of that event is quite fuzzy.

Oh, this place loves art, even if it is quite explicit. It wasn't hard to find a shop with art supplies. [And he's enough of a high rank to not be ignored or looked at suspiciously when he's purchasing things. Especially after exhibit, the staff at shop seem to know him.]

I've become more vigilant since then. It hasn't tried anything similar since then, as far as I can recall. [They were quite troublesome. The statues too, going around and grabbing people.]

That is still too long if you ask me. [He's tired of these -events- and his own mark and everything here. But he doesn't complain and tries to move forward the best he can, and looks for things to lift the mood.

Like that coffee shop, built right underneath a huge weeping willow with hanging bioluminescent flowers.]

Ah, the coffee shop. [The one for Bakugo's lava cake.]

I wish I could. [And that comes out so sincerely and with a sigh that literally says "this place is lucky I don't have my powers with me, I'd show them what hell freezing over means".

Yusuke smiles a bit, and nods,]
It is a bit secluded and out of the way from the regular path, but it is quite wonderful. [He gestures at the plants and tree branches that have ivy-like things hanging in the air.]

It's all bioluminescent. I love to come here in the evening to enjoy the view and paint.

[And he happily steps inside the cafe and makes way between the tables and goes outside on the little terrace that has wooden tables and chairs, some pillows, a bench, and a lot of plants.]

Yes, quite. There are two types of menus: the regular and a separate one that appears in the evening when dates start to show up.

[It wouldn't be the Hotel if it didn't want to encourage couples to get busy, even here. But he's telling the truth- one menu has regular sweets and drinks, and the other menu is printed on a dark blue card with a flowery design to "get attention" from potential customers.

The cafe is fairly empty, the terrace specifically, and Yusuke happily takes a seat at one of the tables.]

It would, yes, if I were doing a proper painting on canvas. However, I come here to- unwind. [As much as one can in this place. Also, he is NOT carrying the entire easel and canvas to Vale!] I do small pictures with crayons or watercolors in my sketchbook. Not everything I paint is canvas-worthy.

I avoid the menu that is offered in the evening hours, yes.

[It's honestly easy to avoid the "spicy" menu here if you want to, compared to other places. It's why Yusuke's here so often, and why the staff seem to recognize him from time to time. The did try to encourage the late hour menu, it's not that they didn't, but they didn't press him about it when he denied it.

Well, the voucher is for lava cake, probably the sweetest thing you can get here. But there are things such as waffles and fruit, some other fried/baked sweets that aren't too sweet.

Yusuke chuckles and pushes hair out of his face,]
Nonsense. An artist can use any medium they want; there is no such thing as 'only for kids'. The reason crayons are marketed mostly for kids is that they are very affordable for parents.

But they can come in a plethora of colors if you find a good brand, and you can carry them easily around, compared to a canvas, an easel, and a box of paints.

[The waitress comes around to take their order, and Yusuke orders without looking at the menu at all: a strong black coffee, no sugar or cream, and a set of macaroons. The waitress turns to Bakugo then, waiting expectantly, while Yusuke fidgets around in his bag for said crayons and a block of paper.]

[It's very sweet, yes, but Yusuke's the type that might complain about dishes, but he never outright refuses food, especially food that is free. Even if it is very sweet.]

Artists who like to learn new things, [Yusuke easily explains.] Admittedly, they are rare exhibitions, but when they happen, it is by very talented people, and many artists go to visit, because it's rare. [It's also hard to find these artists if you are not actively looking for them.

Yusuke's search ends with him pulling out an expensive looking box of crayons, and a block with paper, but he only takes black shades from the box and opens a clear page in front of him, not drawing anything- yet.]
