I work as a police officer in the city. It's the closest thing I could get to being a hero, and it won't bore the fuck out of me.

You did have a point though, Bakugo. It's not like I can't work as I am and then if I decide to go to school I can't go. Or even cut my hours down. I can still do normal things on my days off, otherwise we wouldn't be going out together. If I'm honest, it feels like there's nothing you don't have the answers to. Or at least can give good advice someone can think on.

Why don't we ask if we could suggest a task force within the police force. If I can be blunt with you, Bakugo, I'm sure there are people who are just as good as we are. Then we can take on regular duties as well as agency duties when it calls for people who are a little more battle ready. It'd be like working with the police at home, only in their station instead of an agency. I'm sure even Midoriya would come along to help establish it, even if he finds or has found something he enjoys already.

[That's right, because if Bakugo wants to do this agency, 'we', means Shoto would put aside what's going on in his head. Agency is what they're all comfortable in and it's not like he can't learn on the side.]

Yes, and my mother is a mother. That was her job. Before us she wasn't a mother and I don't think she had a job. You already know my father's job, though.

Aa. You can set up a business here. I never thought of it.

[Between the rush of this new place, all the new Outsiders, himself included, the need to have a job for funds and something stable, training in the simulations and learning everything, it just never crossed his mind to start up an agency and invite other hero types to join him.

But perhaps that's for the best... Even among the fighters that rank as his not!friends, many of them, like Shoto wanted to try something different instead of fighting every day.

Hell, Bakugo doesn't battle every day either. Sometimes he just does a boring patrol with Denji and nothing happens.]

Drop it. A lot of Outsiders come from a background where they fought. They should have the chance to do something other than fight while they're here.

[It's because he knows Shoto and Izuku would join him that he strikes the idea down immediately. Other Outsiders he knows might also join up, but likely out of a sense of duty or friendship, and Bakugo can't take them from their "normal" lives when they've had a few months to settle in. Lives that aren't fraught with battles and pain.
