[ Left on Katsuki's doorstep is a box, covered in pink wrapping paper and a huge pink bow, which is probably a giveaway of just who the present is from. Inside is a bunch of gifts, all individually wrapped:
🐯 A set of grenade stress balls, which he thought were very funny. 🐯 Some hand made chocolates in the shape of a tiger, which look way better than the ones he had made all those months before - clearly, he's been practising. 🐯 One white tiger plushie (and should Katsuki visit Yuji's room, he will see Yuji has a matching normal tiger one, and if you put them near each other magnets in their paws have them hold hands, but he isn't telling him that part just yet!) 🐯 Some polaroids of himself, Raidou, Denji and their various other friends, stuck in a scrap book with doodles and notes around each one. 🐯 Pre-paid tickets to the laser tag place, with a little note saying 'you're on!' 🐯 A hoodie, in a green colour, that definitely matches Yuji's traditional red one. 🐯 A deck of Uno cards, because, haha. That's how they met.
Under all the gifts is a little note:
Katsuki,
Things have been really hard here, for both of us. You know I don't like sharing how I feel with people or talking about things, but you've always been there to take care of me and drag it out of me when I needed it. I know I can trust you, and I know you'll believe in me just like I believe in you.
Before I came here, I didn't have a lot of friends. I wasn't really popular in middle school and in high school we had missions, and I had Megumi and Kugisaki, but coming here has let me meet so many amazing people, and you're one of them. You're one of the best people I've ever met, and my best friend, too. I'm lucky every day that you're still here and we're able to fight with each other.
I believe in you. I'm glad you believe in me, too.
[Yeah, it's a dead ringer, and Katsuki can't stop the little tug at the corner of his mouth. Dammit, this guy always manages to bring a smile to his face, even when he's grumpy about the stupid Christmas festivities. Scooping the box up in arm, he steals into his room and shuts the door behind him. Then sinks on the bed and unwraps... wow, everything.
Yuji's shotgun gifts. He takes his time turning them around to look each one over, lingering on thoughts of what to do with them. Stress balls, of course, are going on his desk. They will be used, though damn if Katsuki won't say it's for hand strengthening exercise rather than anything stress related. Grenade shapes, however, reminisce of his own hero costume grenades and the blood ones he can make with Yuji. Heh, someone's been practicing his candy-making skills. Katsuki may have seen Yuji once or twice working, but never interrupted him. Not overly sweet either; that's nice.
The tiger plushie brings a bit of a flush to his face, not sure if he's embarrassed or touched. Ultimately it's tucked beside his pillow. (If/when he finds that paw magnet trait, Katsuki's gonna... feel shit.) A few pages of the scrapbook see some turning before he sets it on the desk to go over later. May or may not add to it next year. Those are a lot of memories in there. Damn right he's accepting that challenge, Gari Head! Expect a time and a place soon because he's cashing in.
Yuji's gonna see Katsuki in a certain green hoodie the next day. He's come to like them when cold weather shows its stupid face. Since he's seen the sorcerer in it, he knows exactly how to fit it. As for Uno cards... "you're on". Next time they have a little hang out.
Katsuki lies on his back, facing the ceiling as Yuji's note replays in his mind. So many things he's said to him, wants to say, can say, will say, with all the feelings and thoughts inside. They don't talk much about their deeper feelings, so focused on surface level and appearances for different reasons (others and self) but Yuji's right. Having someone believe in you and trust you is more than nice. He hates being stuck here... but he's so glad he got to meet Yuji in exchange.]
