[ It was kind of a compliment. Katsuki once got mad when Izuku told him he wasn't saying something very All Might in class. ]

I know. I just mean...you really sound like a hero right now, Kacchan.

[Katsuki finally goes quiet and accepts it. Then shuffles his shoulders and pushes his hands into his pockets, done with the feel-good moment.]

Rock climbing and lunch. I saw a go-kart place a last week if you wanna drive too.

Go karts! Not bumper cars! You'll get kicked out or crashing them!

[Coming from someone who's actually worked at a go-kart part, you don't crash go karts... Naughty.]

Oh! Whoops. I was thinking of bumper cars. But we can go! You wouldn't have brought it up if you weren't interested.

[ Izuku hums, then adds: ]

You know, you can get in game mounts.

I didn't see any bumper cars here...

[Not going to argue about the interest. There's something always cool about getting to drive. Even if it's go karts.

Katsuki arches a brow at the comment.]

You mean horses or motorcycles?

Well, I know of at least horses, but I'm pretty sure there's more fantastical stuff you can unlock later. That's par for the course for that kind of game, right?

[ As far as he knows, anyway. ]

I meant here, in Crane City. I know there are mounts in the Avisle.

[If they're going to drive, they can't really do that in the fantasy world. Outside of carts with oxen or horses. Not as much fun as go karts or bumper cars...]

[ But not a motor one. Just a normal one. ]

I'm not gonna ride around on your bike today. [Yeah no thanks.] If there aren't go karts or bumper cars here... You said there was rock climbing, right?

Huh? I thought you said there was a go kart place you wanted to go to...but, yeah! Rock climbing, arcade, roller skating...it's your choice.

[ After all, it's his day. ]

I thought you meant back home!

[Katsuki frowns and thinks back to the conversation. Memories from home versus memories from this place. Which one... was the go karts in?

... this ... one. Right.]

No it was in this world. [He growls at the slip.] Damn memory overlay.

Oh! Oh, yeah, that happens. I actually never had a bike back home, but I've rented them before.

[ Not often, but enough that he had fun and knows what he's doing. Bike travel is a lot more common here. At home, Izuku mostly walked or took the subway. ]

Didn't you borrow one a few times? I saw you riding a few times.

[Katsuki thought Izuku had one for a while, figuring they weren't that expensive. But then again, his parents bought him his bike and Katsuki didn't use it all that much, since he liked walking places with his friends. Sometimes, however...]

Mm, yeah, I did. Not a lot, but sometimes. [ For his family it was more a sense of space - Izuku didn't have a yard or anything, and what space he had in his room went to merchandise. If he'd made room his mom would have bought him a bike but otherwise since his friends as a kid only went riding occasionally it made more sense to rent or borrow. ]

But, here I had one all my own since I bike a lot I guess...? I'm also on the track team?

You knew how to ride it enough to crash. [Requiring Katsuki to have to teach him. But there was only one or two lessons before the rift happened and Izuku had to learn via the scant basics and himself. He's pretty sure Izuku had no problem with a bike in this place. Growing up in a much better environment with Katsuki teaching him all about how to ride without any pride problems.

Well, okay so he still laughed when Izuku managed to hit the mailbox instead of any other area in that wide open space of road, sidewalk, and lawn all around them. Damn mailbox bike gravity.]

You always had good legs for running. [He couldn't even tease that Izuku was good at "running away" because Izuku never ran the fuck away. Always ran towards trouble.]

Ahaha...I like it, though. I mean, I could quit, but...it's kinda fun to keep up with?

[ It's not like he can do hero training to the same degree in school now since it's a normal school. But Izuku still attends for the academic reasons. Though school will be out for summer soon. ]

You can't "quit" riding a bike. It sticks with you for life.

[That's why there's that saying about bicycle riding... Katsuki's doing amazing in school, getting top marks unless Iida and Yaoyorozu are somehow in this version of their world.

Still has time for sports and some hobbies at least. He's partial to basketball for now.]

[ Of course he can't quit riding a bike! Well, knowing how anyway. Izuku just means he's keeping up several of his fake life hobbies because...

...well. He needs SOMETHING to do. ]
