[ No ears or tail today! And the only horns are the ones he made with his hair gel. He's not afflicted with Malachite's instability curse, so his 'time of the month' is at least another five days away, if it comes at all. His first few months here, it hadn't, at least not physically. One could reason the amped up playfulness is his amethyst at work, but it could just as easily be excitement to reunite with his friend on his special day.

He blinks and tilts his head at the protest in turn. ]

You don't have any plans with Midoriya tonight?

[ Regardless of how privvy he is or isn't to Bakugou's relationship with Midoriya, he'd assumed he might have to share his friend's time today with at least his housemate. Here he was just trying to be thoughtful - maybe he shouldn't be worried after all. ]

[Bakugou doesn't really expect people to follow the "normal" schedule of the month, just assumes there's a chance that "time of the month" will happen generally around the period. He's had one or two months where it didn't happen to him at all, so that's another option. Fucking chaotic here sometimes... Whether Bakugou is more in favor of the transformations or the ruby's emotional surges, he hasn't figured that out for himself either. Not something he likes to think about.

The blonde runs his hand through his hair, blowing out a frustrated breath.]

Deku already got me all morning. Made breakfast and everything. So damn proud of himself for it too. Wasn't bad either. Since I didn't want a damn party, he said he's leaving the rest of today open for you, Half-n-Half, whoever else.

[Because Izuku's always the self-sacrificing type and doesn't want to monopolize Bakugou's time from his other friends (even if he likely secretly wants to). That's just how Izuku is. And the blonde's a stubborn idiot who doesn't want a party so has to do time divide between his other friends.

Bakugou snorts and rolls his eyes with a wry smile.]

Said he'll save the rest for tomorrow.

[Bakugou's gonna be hanging with Izuku all day tomorrow as well, so Kirishima's got nothing to worry about.]

[ He dips his chin and lowers his voice a little, as if they could possibly be overheard. ]

Thanks for teachin' Todoroki the right way to make eggs. He's improved a lot. If you want him to come out with us later, I can let him know?

[ He also got breakfast in bed a month ago, but Bakugou doesn't need to know that. It's his day. Back to a normal volume: ]

[Bakugou leans his head away when Kirishima leans in closer, more out of instinct than actual aversion. Got a suspecting look on his face too... at least until the redhead speaks and then the blonde goes all smug-faced grin.]

Told you I'd put a stop to that shit. [The victory is his. Though his express warps to disgust after.] Fucker was breaking eggs in his fist. Why the fuck didn't you said something?! You wanna get your throat lacerated on egg shells?

I didn't want him to feel discouraged. It was already really nice he was making me breakfast, you know? What room did I have to complain if it was just somethin' as small as an eggshell or two? I could take that.

[ He was being polite, in other words, which is exactly what Katsuki told Todoroki when Todoroki asked why anyone would 'lie' about his abilities in the kitchen. In other words, Bakugou knew his friend perfectly. Kirishima has sharp teeth, an iron stomach, and the drive to encourage his friends through their hobbies. He assuredly would have told Todoroki if his cooking was awful but... it was just good enough at the time he could stomach his productions. Thank god for Bakugou. ]

BECAUSE I THOUGHT you and Midoriya were gonna do something later! But now that's not the case. We got more time than I thought! I'll contact Todoroki.

[ Whipping out his phone with that box still tucked under his arm. ]

It's your day, dude! What do you wanna do? I was hopin' we'd go out and eat and get a drink or somethin' to celebrate you being officially legal back home, but I'm up for whatever!

[Big difference between being polite and wanting to offer some words of improvement. You think their teachers corrected them during class out of some sense of vindictive motive? No! It's to help them get better.

Yeah but sharp teeth and iron stomach still have a fleshy gullet and esophagus between them. Whatever, both of them can now benefit from getting some egg-related improvements thrown at Shoto's cooking skills!]

[That pout is insane... Bakugou has no problem going out to lunch with Kirishima and doing whatever with him, but a dinner between friends should include all of them, even if he's loath to deal with the idea of a "party" his boyfriend's probably going to try and turn it into.

And he kind of might want to just... do something alone with Kirishima. He doesn't get to see his bestie as often these days as he did back home.]

That's fine. [Lunch, drinks, all that. But thinking about what else to do...] They got a rock-climbing wall at the arcade, and I know there's a sports game going on at The Coliseum.

[ Kirishima is stalwart and too sweet. Bakugou already has recognized and fixed the problem for him by giving Todoroki an education on how to make the eggs. Does he need to say anything else?

[ Kirishima's all for getting their classmates together for dinner. He just knows Deku's been having a time of it lately. He's been waiting for a cue from Midoriya to let him know it's ok to reach back out, not wanting to intrude on his process for what's been happening lately back in their world. He cares about Deku, but he lives with Todoroki and Bakugou's too close to him not to bother.

Anyway, he's texting Todoroki to ask if he wants to come out and celebrate tonight since it seems like Bakugou set some time aside for him anyway. ]

I work at that arcade, so I know. If you're talkin' about the one in the Sapphire District, anyway. Ichiban.

[ Kirishima smirks. ]

I can get us in at a discount. What's the deal at the Colseum?

[Instead of letting Shoto get away with his sucky cooking skills. Granted he's got plenty of basics down in theory, but his execution of them is fucked up. Kirishima can not only get better food, but also get Shoto feeling proud of himself and enjoy some co-cooking with his friend. Win win situation for both of them.

[Izuku's been improving, slowly. January took a lot out of him, both from where he came from in their world and all that rouge business, and then the fucking weather and all that shit in the freezing month making things even worse on him. But he's recovering. They should be able to enjoy a dinner with the four of them tonight. Bakugou'll put up with it for their sakes. In exchange for not having a damn party thrown at the house. How's that?

Bastards... He's gonna shoot a text to Izuku as well, who's out in the gym going through some training exercises. Make him multitask.]

Trust me, dude, I've tried. He likes to cook by himself or I cook for him. We have a hard time working together right now in the kitchen.

[ It's kind of a race every morning in the Kirishima/Todoroki household and most days Kirishima lets Todoroki win. He kind of loves doing his stretches and wandering right down into breakfast most mornings. It used to be to crunchy eggs, but thanks to Bakugou, it's been decent-to-good eggs. Some days Kirishima gets down there first and makes actually good breakfast. He's not a great cook, but Kirishima has breakfast and pan-fried dishes down pat. Maybe one day he'll toss his friends away from the kitchen and show them as much instead of letting them cook for him. ]

That your wish? You wanna top the score at the DDR or basketball machine in Ichiban?

[ He's amused, but he's not actually goading this time. ]

We could do that for sure, maybe more. I've got a lot of coins saved up.

[Somehow he finds that hard to believe. The two seem pretty close and get along well. Bakugou eyes him, not sure he's gonna go with it... but Kirishima's a sucky liar. Makes him wonder just what kind of agreement they've got worked out as far as cooking goes. Bakugou does most of the cooking, but Izuku's free to help him with the prep while he's controlling the dinner process. Not that Izuku's a bad cook when he runs the show. Still, they both know who's the better of them, so Izuku usually handles the dishes. Which ends up being Blackwhip training. Fucker...]

Oy. Getting shit confused, Shitty Hair. I'm talking about a "basketball game" at the Crystal Colosseum. Going to see a sports game.

[ Kirishima is a sucky liar so Bakugou can understand he's being sincere about what he says, as Kirishima almost always is. Todoroki really has improved and he beats Kirishima to making breakfast most days. beyond that? Hard to say. Kirishima just assumes Bakugou does the breakfast most days in his own household just because he's usually up so early, when he cares to. He now thinks of Bakugou when his morning eggs don't have shells in them. Anyway.

Oh! Tonight?

[ Kirishima's certainly curious. He likes sports games even if he isn't a consistent fan of anything in particular beyond Quirk competitions, especially in Noctium. This is the first real game he's heard of. ]

Oh man, though, let's do it! I'm up for showin' you my skills at any other place than your rock wall! Unless you've got some sorta thing that randomzes it? Wouldn't be fair to compete against you on your home turf!

[That's a fault and a perk for Kirishima. One of the reasons Bakugou trusts him as much as he does, and feels comfortable around him. Even if his eternal optimism and friendliness can sometimes piss him off. And yeah, he's right in assuming Bakugou's up first. He keeps to his routine and schedule, though occasionally Izuku'll be up with him cause he couldn't sleep or because he wants to go running with the blonde in the cool of the morning. Depends.

Least they don't have shells in their eggs.]

[He smirks at the mention of his "home turf" when it comes to the rock walls.]

[Bakugou occasionally catches some competitions or games at the coliseum, watching it from home or going to the place with a companion. Rare. But it's not bad at all and he can get swept up in the competitiveness. Not that he had much interest in them at home due to Quirks, but here... shit happens.]

[ Kirishima doesn't hold softness against Bakugou, really. If he addresses it, he praises it, if he even mentions it at all. Sure, he's gonna tease his friend about going to bed early, but here he is, reveling in the afternoon and his friend's regard. He's not expecting lunch but he's definitely happy to step beyond his friend's gate into luch time. ]

[ If you don't think he's been living his gregarious life thinking about his stupidly introverted friend, you'd be dumb. Of course Kirishima's been thinking about cool things he and Bakugou could do besides simply beating each other's asses in training (which was always a reliable and beloved option, to be fair). ]

[He's basically walked himself into lunch, so that's happening. Lunch. Drinks. Arcade. Possible sports game. Dinner if it happens. Who the fuck knows what else? Bakugou's getting a few rushes of nostalgia simply by being around Kirishima and getting the chance to be alone with him like they used to do. Just, without the studying and banging his head with paper sort of things.]

[Bakugou's the naturally competitive and challenging kind, so if Kirishima's going to lay down an idea he thinks he can beat the explosive blonde at, then hell yes he's gonna go for it! Shitty Hair might not want to clash against Bakugou on his own turf, but Blasty McSplode over here is more than happy to rip someone a new on right on their front porch!]

180, idiot. [First he says go out, now he says go in. Bakugou tilts his head towards his house to silently invite Kirishima inside and heads in with him, leaving his slips by the door.] So far it isn't blowing up. Though all that dream shit over in the other island's weird as hell.

[ Instead of carrying a box around with them to various activities, up to and including throwing down on a rock wall. Kirishima has certainly gone from an amateur to more of a novice at such climbing things, but he may be overestimating his abilities and Bakugou might not lose to a man in floppy, red sandals today. Maybe one day when the redhead could have more control over this wind gift he's been given...

Anyway, Kirishima steps out of the aforementioned Krooks and into house slippers easily, demonstrating the shoe's relative superiority in comfort. Bakugou gets a furrowed brow. ]

[That gets an arched brow and Bakugou looks at the box under Kirishima's arm. Okay, now even more curious.]

All right.

[He heads for the living room so Kirishima can set the item down.]

Want something to drink or snack on?

[Might as well be a semi-decent host since the guy came all the way over here. Yeah, he definitely doesn't want to try and keep track of that box while they're going around town for arcade activities and grabbing a possible game later with lunch opening up the entire trip. (If Kirishima's only got those sandals on, then they can definitely do rock climbing another day.)

He shrugs his shoulders at the question as he makes for the kitchen.]

There's been reports of people experiencing weird fucking dreams recently. Thought it was contained to that island earlier on, but... fucking leaking out of there by now.

[ He'll save room for whatever they want to do for lunch... unless Bakugou decides to snack on something, in which case Kirishima's liable to try and steal a piece. That's annoying friendship privileges, or at least he thinks so.

The gift box gets settled down on the coffee table or the sofa while Kirishima goes to check in on the fish. ]

What kinda weird dreams?

[ Yes, he is raising his voice to keep the conversation going between rooms. Naturally someone like Kirishima's first thought on 'weird dream' is jumping onto a giant pork bun like a trampoline or something and that doesn't sound so bad. But Noctium is teaching him not to trust like that. ]

[Before sending a cold water bottle sailing across the room towards Kirishima. Test the reflexes while he's at it. It's just around lunch, so he hasn't eaten anything since breakfast. And they're planning on heading out to lunch as well, so likely won't be snacking on something in the meantime.

Mighty Fish and Almighty Fish are doing just fine, still as vigorous (Mighty) and stoic (Almighty) as ever. They seem to recognize Kirishima again and swim over to follow him. Feed them if you like. Food's down below.]

Depends. Sometimes it's seeing scenes from back home, meeting people from there. Others get fucking nightmares and can't wake up from it.

[At least these things in Noctium come in waves, so they should be free of it at the turn of the month.]

[ He is indeed in the process of feeding the fish when Bakugou leans out of the kitchen. If the reflex test was to see if he'd body-block for the fish tank and take the bottle to the chest before punting it towards the couch in an attempt to catch it with his foot, then yes, Kirishima's reflexes are on point. He moves to go pick it up, frowning. ]

That's what the medicine out of Sumar was for, huh? Well hopefully here they've got some saved over. Wonder why it's bleeding in unless it's contagious.

[ Sitting on the sofa, he watches the fish vie for their food. ]

[He was going for a catch, but almost freaked out when he saw the bottle leave his hand and Kirishima was RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE FUCKING FISH TANK! Instead of the worst, the other hero shows off a mixture of reflex and dexterity that leaves Bakugou snorting in amusement (okay, that was kinda hot too) before going back into the kitchen for his own drink. The fish eat happily, not even recognizing their finny lives got saved just now.]

Yeah. Deku and I delivered a few. That place was fucked up... Dunno what's worse, having some sex monster invade your dreams and do perverted shit or having nightmares you can't wake up from.

[Bakugou drops on the couch and uncaps a water for himself, kicking his foot up on the edge of the coffee table.]

Probably something to do with Malachite. Usually does.

[ A fish tank as big as this one might not have broken getting beaned from a plastic ( or whatever this world uses ) water bottle, but they'll never have to find out or give the fish trauma from this particular incident.

Kirishima awkwardly rubs the back of his neck. ]

Well I've already had a couple nightmares I couldn't wake up from... [ It's called reality, though the recent incident of an unmade future now seems like it could be classified as a dream. ] At this point, I'd try the sex monster if I had to pick.

[ He huffs, mostly because he can't believe something that ridiculous just came out of his mouth. ]

It's gotta be a nightmare that everything you do might affect a billion other people at any time. Wonder if that's what he goes through.

[He and Kirishima were together in one of those damn nightmares. Having to get that blue thing and out of there to get back to reality. Fucking headtrip. Bakugou arches a brow at the comment and smirks at him.]

[Well, not "him" in that sense, but he's got a "sex monster" side of him whenever the devil wakes up. Bakugou still dislikes that bastard, but he's not evil.]

Kirishima's trying not to go back to the aforementioned hellscape in his mind, but it's really abolished when Bakugou makes that statement. His head snaps around, eyes widened. Seeing the smirk just makes him grin reflexively. Did... Is he being hit on? ]

[ It's the nonchalance of the statement - almost a threat - that makes him question what he just heard along with the fact the two of them have never really gotten into talking about anything sexual even if a place like this openly encourages it. Kirishima's more inclined to think his brain blipped a moment on him and didn't follow the conversation right. Maybe what Bakugou really just propositioned him to was a fight or something? But Sex Monster Bakugou has been adopted by whatever brain cell is pinging around the redhead's skull even if Kirishima tries not to linger on it, thus a bit of a flush tints across his cheeks.

Right, Malachite. Malachite's a topic they were also discussing. ]

Uh. Well, a lot of stuff happened to him lately! I mean he wouldn't be the first guy I've known who had to learn how to care about other people, or do it better.

[ Not that he's pointing any fingers. If he's looking anywhere pointedly it's the fish tank, the bit of a flush on his face beginning to fade. ]

[Bakugou arches a brow as he looks at his friend. He's not going to repeat what he just said because Kirishima heard him. Sure, it was a ballsy statement, forward and unlike anything they've really said to each other here in Noctium, but considering the place is so quick to encourage shit like that, and the redhead just expressed some interest in it... why the hell not? With this conversation under their belt, it's not hard to figure the devil side of him would act on it the next time he got to come out. Plus it's a good way to toss the more dire conversation out the damn window.

Sex Monster Bakugou is a good way to describe the devil when he comes out.]

Yeah. He lost that priest woman, or whatever, and had to deal with all the gang wars in January. About time he finally started learning what shit blowing his powers makes for other people.

[Good thing for Kirishima Bakugou's focused on Malachite or he might've thought the guy was referring to him with that little comment... He takes a seat on the couch, stretching his legs out on the coffee table before resting his foot against the rim, other one on the floor.]

[ While he dismisses it for the moment, at least Kirishima's been introduced to thinking about hooking up with his friend as a more serious possibility. That can just percolate for a bit. ]

Too bad there's not a god school like we had Quirk training, huh? Not that that ever stopped accidents from happening.

[ One finger subconsciously itches at his own scarred brow as he moves to lean against the sofa, facing Bakugou. ]

I feel for the guy, if I'm honest. It's not like he asked to be born into this sort of responsibility, right? And whether we like it or not, it's good there are people like us here willing to help others while he's figuring stuff out. It just sucks that it affects so much...
