[ A fish tank as big as this one might not have broken getting beaned from a plastic ( or whatever this world uses ) water bottle, but they'll never have to find out or give the fish trauma from this particular incident.

Kirishima awkwardly rubs the back of his neck. ]

Well I've already had a couple nightmares I couldn't wake up from... [ It's called reality, though the recent incident of an unmade future now seems like it could be classified as a dream. ] At this point, I'd try the sex monster if I had to pick.

[ He huffs, mostly because he can't believe something that ridiculous just came out of his mouth. ]

It's gotta be a nightmare that everything you do might affect a billion other people at any time. Wonder if that's what he goes through.

[Probably a true comment, considering Izuku and Bakugou live at the residence and yeah... Their Quirks can be pretty destructive. Strong ass fish tank. Still doesn't counter growing up reactions to a bottle flying towards what looks like glass. Thanks for the save, Kiri.]

[He and Kirishima were together in one of those damn nightmares. Having to get that blue thing and out of there to get back to reality. Fucking headtrip. Bakugou arches a brow at the comment and smirks at him.]

[Well, not "him" in that sense, but he's got a "sex monster" side of him whenever the devil wakes up. Bakugou still dislikes that bastard, but he's not evil.]

No idea. He didn't give a shit when he used his powers originally. Seems like he's starting to get a fucking conscience now.

Kirishima's trying not to go back to the aforementioned hellscape in his mind, but it's really abolished when Bakugou makes that statement. His head snaps around, eyes widened. Seeing the smirk just makes him grin reflexively. Did... Is he being hit on? ]

[ It's the nonchalance of the statement - almost a threat - that makes him question what he just heard along with the fact the two of them have never really gotten into talking about anything sexual even if a place like this openly encourages it. Kirishima's more inclined to think his brain blipped a moment on him and didn't follow the conversation right. Maybe what Bakugou really just propositioned him to was a fight or something? But Sex Monster Bakugou has been adopted by whatever brain cell is pinging around the redhead's skull even if Kirishima tries not to linger on it, thus a bit of a flush tints across his cheeks.

Right, Malachite. Malachite's a topic they were also discussing. ]

Uh. Well, a lot of stuff happened to him lately! I mean he wouldn't be the first guy I've known who had to learn how to care about other people, or do it better.

[ Not that he's pointing any fingers. If he's looking anywhere pointedly it's the fish tank, the bit of a flush on his face beginning to fade. ]

[Bakugou arches a brow as he looks at his friend. He's not going to repeat what he just said because Kirishima heard him. Sure, it was a ballsy statement, forward and unlike anything they've really said to each other here in Noctium, but considering the place is so quick to encourage shit like that, and the redhead just expressed some interest in it... why the hell not? With this conversation under their belt, it's not hard to figure the devil side of him would act on it the next time he got to come out. Plus it's a good way to toss the more dire conversation out the damn window.

Sex Monster Bakugou is a good way to describe the devil when he comes out.]

Yeah. He lost that priest woman, or whatever, and had to deal with all the gang wars in January. About time he finally started learning what shit blowing his powers makes for other people.

[Good thing for Kirishima Bakugou's focused on Malachite or he might've thought the guy was referring to him with that little comment... He takes a seat on the couch, stretching his legs out on the coffee table before resting his foot against the rim, other one on the floor.]

[ While he dismisses it for the moment, at least Kirishima's been introduced to thinking about hooking up with his friend as a more serious possibility. That can just percolate for a bit. ]

Too bad there's not a god school like we had Quirk training, huh? Not that that ever stopped accidents from happening.

[ One finger subconsciously itches at his own scarred brow as he moves to lean against the sofa, facing Bakugou. ]

I feel for the guy, if I'm honest. It's not like he asked to be born into this sort of responsibility, right? And whether we like it or not, it's good there are people like us here willing to help others while he's figuring stuff out. It just sucks that it affects so much...

[Bakugou's not knocking the idea off the proverbial table. He's been with people he knows far less than Kirishima and part of him's silently wondering why it's taken this long. He knows the synchrony between himself and his best friend works extremely well already.]

You'd think the other four fuckers we're giving all this manna too would wake up and kick his fucking ass till he learned.

[Honestly feels like Malachite woke up and everyone went "you're on your own; we're going to sleep" or something. Frustrating, and still doesn't excuse him, but there's not only the godling to blame if Bakugou thinks about it.

He glances over to Kirishima when he looks at him.]

Maybe. Those gems should be helping him. Dunno if they can't or won't. But he's still conscious enough to realize what's going on with his powers and doesn't really do shit when it goes out of control.

... he didn't. Now he's got one or two "my bad" under his damn belt at least.

[ All Kirishima can think of is how kids can be little demons even if they are taught those things from adults who know better. But it sounds like Malachite has no peers, much less an authority over him. It's just his counsel, most notably Aurora Nyx, who well may be the godling's only thing resembling a friend. Even so. ]

Yeah, I don't know... Wish we'd see a little more of him actually talking lately. It's hard to make a judgement call on that sorta thing - I mean as far as if he cares or not or if he's trying - without any evidence.

[ He never intended to become someone embroiled in politics, but Kirishima's discovered that since he was taken from his world and school, it's on him to stayed tuned into things so he can know what's going on in the world, much less make an informed opinion. There is no school or agency to tell him who the heroes and villains are anymore or otherwise guide him. ]

But anyway, man, it's your birthday!

[ He's going to aim the most gentle of punches at Katsuki's chest - more of a tap of knuckles. ]

[Bakugou still has speculations about all of this. How can these other four "gods" not know whatever the fuck's gonna shit out another "godling:? Did they just "Whoa! Never saw THAT coming!" when he popped out? Then again, the other "gods" around here don't seem to be very active, with any kind of agency or interaction. It's... confusing. He's not fond of aspects that make him less critical of Malachite as it is...]

We already saw some evidence at the start of the damn year. Ch-! [Bakugou chuffs off to the side in annoyance before grumbling under his breath.] He's better than he was from the start at least...

[Malachite never would've interfered on behalf of peace between the warring parties, and his temperament over the loss of Nyx would've been a lot worse earlier on. Who knows, maybe one day he'd be mature enough to actually open some fucking portals and send all his captives home. Unless he wasn't the only reason people were being dragged into Noctium...

Anyways.

Bakugou grunts when a fist paps him on the chest. Lamest punch in the world. Right, that annoying thing. Birthday. He shoves his hands into his pockets, shoulders hunching a bit.]

[Grumpy boom is touched, but gonna be grumpy about it.]

[ Like him or not, they've both seen firsthand that Malachite matters to the stability of this world. In any case, Kirishima's done thinking and talking about the godling. His attention happily turns to what he came here for: celebrating his best friend's birthday! Even if Bakugou's doing a great job of acting like it's an inconvenience, it doesn't seem to be affecting Kirishima's cheer.

The redhead leans out of his more relaxed pose to fetch the wide box, moving to set it between their laps. With a wry little grin: ]
