Canonpoint: Chapter 342 (just before the final war)
Guild Choice: Bakugo's starting guild will be the Warriors Guild, likely in the role of a bodyguard, mercenary, soldier, or what might be considered a "police officer" in the ON world. This guild best aligns with his canon profession as a hero-in-training, and his explosive personality with genius-level natural talents.
Element Choice: Bakugo's natural elemental affinity will be Water, Fire, and Earth. I prioritize "Water" as it is an element in contrast with his fiery personality and his canon powers over explosions, as well as one that deliberately clashes with his canon power. This would facilitate a very interesting learning curve and adjustment for him to deal with in order to balance the two, leading to growth in his personality and skill, as well as giving him a wider spread of abilities to utilize in the field.
Canon Powers: Bakugo was born with the Explosion Quirk, a superpower that allows him to secrete nitroglycerin-like sweat from his palms and ignite it at will to create explosions of various sizes. These fiery shock waves are highly powerful and destructive, often burning and/or shattering whatever they hit, with Bakugo himself being immune to them, save for some recoil. However, if Bakugo overuses his Quirk through repeated explosions, particularly large ones, he beings experiencing pain in his arms and shoulders and risks damaging their physical stability. Explosion's power will be depleted to the point of only being able to make heated sparks and tiny explosions until Bakugo is able to power it up again.
Character Wish(es): Above all, Bakugo wishes for two things. 1) Being a hero, he ultimate wishes for a safe world where people can live their lives comfortably and without danger from villainous intentions. However, such an idyllic reality can never happen, so this wish is curtailed by a desire to be able to protect people, from strangers to people he cares for, from those same villainous intentions, natural disasters, and other things heroes strive to help people overcome. 2) Bakugo matured quite a lot from the start of the series, but he still wishes to be the best hero the world has ever seen, surpassing all others in power and achievements, so that his mere presence will deter villains, embolden civilians, and prove to everyone that everything will be all right, because He is Here.
Character Fear(s): Like the above, there are two main things Bakugo fears. 1) A world overrun with villainy, where heroes have perished, retired, or otherwise been removed, and people live enslaved in fear under a cruel reign. This can range anywhere from dystopian wreckage to some militaristic tyranny. 2) Despite Bakugo's maturity, he still fears personal things such as failing something he attempts, showing his weaknesses, disappointing expectations, and other such injuries o his pride. But due to his canon experiences, he also greatly fears people he cares for being killed or maimed, having witnessed the horrors of war.
Strengths: (1) Heroic. Bakugo has always dreamed of becoming a hero, and despite his outward attitude, he has the heart of a hero. He's matured over the series and learned to protect others important to him, care for his teammates, and connect more with the civilians he saves. Bakugo's heroic traits ensure that he keeps strong hold of his morals and refuses to give up and let villainy have its way. (2) Pride. Bakugo's intense pride causes him to refuse to back down from a challenge he finds worth taking, and because of it, he won't accept failure, half results, cheating, or other detriments to his actions. He holds himself to high expectations, and demands the same of others around him, even if he begrudgingly has to help them do so. (3) Genius. Bakugo was born talented, always succeeding at whatever he put his hands to. However, his natural genius doesn't stop him from putting intense effort into his training and academics, being one of the most skillful and intelligent members of his class.
Weaknesses: (1) Attitude. Bakugo's outward attitude is aggressive, rude, violent, and arrogant, and he's just as likely to yell insults or threats at people as he is to dismiss them as not worth his time or effort. His lone-wolf nature combines negatively with his pride and talent, leading him to believe he can handle anything by himself and having difficulty accepting help and criticism from other people. (2) Pride. While Bakugo's pride isn't as fragile as it used to be and he's matured a great deal from his humbling experiences, it remains a detrimental at times. He hates admitting or showing weakness in front of people, be that from making mistakes, expressing "softer" emotions or actions, being compared to others, or accidentally hurting someone. Bakugo often excuses any niceness he displays with flippant reasons so as to not acknowledge he does care, and can be cajoled into doing something he otherwise wouldn't by insulting his pride.
