[ It's true. If it hadn't been for their classmates figuring out a way for them to pull off the rescue that wouldn't get them in trouble, Kirshima would have become a vigilante or worse. Not trying to save Bakugou was not an option for him even if it was one of the most terrifying things he'd ever contemplated doing at the time. He guesses Deku must have been the one to tell Bakugou how he wouldn't take 'no' for an answer.

So Katsuki's got a point, even though Kirishima's knee-jerk reaction is to claim that situation was different. But he doesn't actually know what the situation is with Shoto and Dabi, does he?

So rather than arguing, he just sends Bakugou the room number. ]

[Bakugou was both told by Deku about the "no" refusal and he figured it out for himself because he knew the kind of person Kirishima was. And also because he had to think about what his reactions would've been on the other side of things. After all, he said "Fuck you" to hospital rules and was dragging his IV across the halls to go storm Deku's room when the guy was in a fucking coma, so he can't exactly claim he'd never blow off the rules if something important enough came to the forefront.

Still... rules are there for a reasons and he doesn't want to end up doing the same damn things the villains do. Even for the right reasons. No matter how much their society has already done so.

Getting the room number and the hospital location is good enough for him and he can easily call up the building information to locate the exact pinpoint. In case he has to go through the window.]

I told Deku. He'll come or he won't. Told him to tell Earphones.

[Yeah, forcing Midoriya to be "social" right now.]

I told him too before you said anything. There's really not much he can do right now. Todoroki's not awake yet.

[ But they can both come hang out with Kirishima and he'll at least silently thank them for the company, if not outright.

Maybe it's weird, but seeing Bakugou remotely freaking out makes Kirishima centered. ]

He doesn't have to do anything. I know he'll kick himself later if he doesn't come see him now, no matter how he's fucking feeling.

[Izuku's having a bad month for a host of reasons and the event's not making anything better in that. No point in making the eventual fallout of it even worse. Despite his arrogance and pride, Bakugou's learned that sticking together is important. Just don't expect him to admit it.]

[ Excuse him for being empathetic, but... ]

And I'm just saying we will. I'm gonna head down to the emergency room area of the hospital if you wanna meet up when you get here. They've got all the good snacks. I'll take you up to the room.

He's acting like he did when we was rouge. The weather's not helping either since it's affecting his emotions.

[Anxiety, paranoia, hearing voices, the violence around town... all on top of the issues Izuku has already.]

I'm five minutes away. I'll come through the front doors.

[That's kind of a warning too, cause he's not gonna let the hospital staff stop him.]

[ Honestly, he's more offering to support Bakugou through it. He understands he's not as close to Izuku. It'd taken their whole class to wrangle him in.

Now as far as front doors go, this is why Kirishima's gone downstairs to meet Bakugou. He doesn't want there to be any incidents in the way to Shoto's room and he wants to see Bakugou. It's two birds with one stone. He looks tired, but still happy to see the blonde when he shows, and his clothing looks like he's been through some sort of ash pit at some point. ]

Hey... Sorry it's so late.

[ Bakugou, look out, he's definitely goin in for the one-armed hug. ]

If you see him outside while you're fighting, just make sure he's not dying from bloodloss or malnutrition.

[Because trying to get Izuku to stop right now won't fly. Sad but true, they were able to stop Deku because there were 19 of them and he was running on fumes already. Just Kirishima. Just Bakugou. Alone, Bakugou's pretty damn sure they wouldn't be able to catch him, much less make him stop.

He does appreciate Kirishima wanting to support him, but Bakugou's bad about accepting support as well. And being concerned about their classmate, his childhood friend, is... a fucking pain in the ass, if he's honest!

Bakugou does get to the hospital and more or less stalks in like a grim-looking man on a mission, full winter costume and gear to boot. Gets a lot of eyes jumping to him. He heads right past the front desk, since he knows where Todoroki's room is, but the only altercation comes when someone tries to stop him. Said something about "only immediate family" and the blonde immediately lashes out at them. Raging about how they don't HAVE any immediate fucking family because they were fucking KIDNAPPED from their world and brought here against their god damn will! So for all you guys care, HE IS Todoroki's immediate family cause he's from the same god damn world as him and the staff has one of two options: either get out of his fucking way or be FORCED out of his way.

That's how he meets Kirishima at least, storming past the staff and suddenly coming face to face with his friend. So no incidents but there was a loud argument? Par for the course at least. Bakugou looks... worn, tense, angry, and focused. Kirishima looks... dusty?]

[ Sorry, bro, he's just really glad to see you. Kirishima's been through a lot of emotions - or maybe it'd be more appropriate to say relived a lot - in the last hour or so. Ironic as it is, Bakugou's always been a source of stability for the Sturdy Hero. At least he won't make the blonde suffer the affection and silent thanks for long, pulling back with a parting pat. ]

He's this way.

[ Seems like he got here too late to stop a confrontation, but since it doesn't look like anyone is chasing after Bakugou, he's gonna leave it. He can apologize on his behalf later if any of the nurses show up with a stink eye... or security.

For now, he's going to lead Katsuki to Todoroki's room. The fact that Kirishima smells like char and the fact that Dabi was involved might have prepared Bakugou to see at least half of their classmate is under bandages. The redhead steps to the side of the door, crossing his arms before him in such a way he's holding either elbow. ]

Pretty sure he's out of the woods, but...

[ There are plenty of issues here, namely the fact it happened and may well happen again, assuming Dabi survived too. ]

[He's still leaning his head to the side with that scowl of his, as if he's pulling away from the other boy's need for physical reassurance. But not exactly trying to pull away from him. Aka: Kirishima gets to have his embrace and pat before they part and Bakugou unhooks one of his Grenadier bracers to more easily manipulate his hand. Tucks the weapon under his other arm.]

What'd you see when you got there?

[Better not be chasing after him or he'd be laying out a few orderlies on the floor. Security won't get cut any breaks either. Following after Kirishima, he focuses on the person at hand, wanting to see Shoto for himself and take in the damage. Knew he was going out to confront his brother, but... that's all.

The damage isn't unexpected and his eyes narrow on the other hero laid up upon the bed. Bandaged all over, half of him looking like a fucking mummy. Bakugou moves over to him, looking down at his face. Tsk, asshole. The hell did he want to do? Didn't he fucking know this wouldn't solve anything? Yeah, the whole "I have to try" shit is ideal and hopeful, but come on.]

He'll recover. The medics here don't suck.

[Dabi survived; Bakugou's sure of it. But until he knows the story, he won't pass more judgement. Asides from calling the two of them idiots.]

Both of 'em laid out on opposite ends of what looked like an impact crater. Ice melting.

[ Shoto face down, blackened by soot and burns, reaching out for Dabi likes some grotesque arrow. The whole thing was sickening, dredging up memories of the war's aftermath where finding someone often meant just finding a body; Midnight had been burned too.

Eijiro's arms tighten around himself and he takes a breath. Shakes his head. ]

If I had to guess, he was trying to keep their fight from hitting the city.

[ Dabi was on the inside of it, after all. He's not a brilliant logician and he's not very familiar with Dabi's capabilities, but it doesn't take a genius. As for the other tidbit... Kirishima sees no reason to hold it back from Bakugou. ]

There was a woman there to get Dabi. Long, blonde hair, red eyes. She knew about their relationship to each other.

[ So not just some concerned civilian, like he initially thought. ]

So something exploded between them.

[It reminds him of what happened when Izuku and Shoto clashed during the Sports Festival. Two powers meeting in the middle and leaving both combatants thrown to the wayside afterwards. He just doesn't know which of them created that explosion: Shoto's Flashfreeze Heatwave or Dabi's flames hitting something bad (cold air or a gas main). Something to ask them later. If he feels like talking about it.

Bakugou doesn't begrudge Kirishima the sight he saw when he reached the area. Won't ask him more about it either, not wanting his friend to have to dwell on the memories. He shakes his head at the guess and moves to the window to look out it. Shoto's going to survive.]

They kept it to themselves.

[He goes silent as the rest of it comes out. Granted, Bakugou says he has no interest in the Todoroki family drama, and yet here he is, paying attention to his classmate's health and silently concerned about the villain's state. Izuku's really done a lot for Bakugou's maturity towards people...]

Figured he'd make allies. [That's his assumption on the woman. But doesn't recognize the description, so that's something he'll simply have to accept.] It's safe to assume he'll recover too.

[ Bakugou talks about allies for Dabi. Kirishima takes a slow breath in and out, longer out than in. ]

He's kind of an asshole, right?

[ He nods towards the supine figure on the bed even as he leans back against the wall. ]

You leave a note for fucking groceries. Not your body in case the worst happens? Right? Am I crazy?

[ It's so quiet, stark, incredulous still. ]

[There's a snort from the other side and Bakugou rests his forearm against the window, eyes narrowed outside at the falling snow.]

He's a fucking idiot asshole with issues.

[And also runs a streak of "Jerkass has a Point" inside too. Endeavor really fucked up with Touya and Shouto.]

No, you're not crazy. He should've told you something. But it was going to happen no matter what you or anyone else said.

[Bakugou knows that feeling, knows what happens when you "need" to do something, screw all else.]
