[it's not the first time he's seen someone's quirk go off a haywire like this. anger channeling that power into the body until everything was ready to explode. and of course being an explosive person himself with an explosive quirk, bakugou's the first person to know what such a collection of power looks like and what it can do. building up in the person below him. hmph. looks like eren's got some "sore loser" issues.

but rather than stick around for the light show (and minding the fact there are fucking STORES WITH PEOPLE still around them), bakugou abruptly grabs the guy by the shirt and an explosion sends them both flying into the sky, it only takes a few seconds to get well above the rooftops and the blonde bluntly chucks ere right up into the sky, another blast sending himself backwards and out of (hopeful) range.

that said, he's sticking around and keeping an eye on eren's glowing body (hey, rubies light up when they touch) so he can find him post-explosion mid-fall and catch him again.

but he's a big damn hero so there's no way he's going to let eren explode all over innocent people's property. think of the dildo store, man!]

[ this was both a bad and good idea at once— now in free range and tossed right into the perfect space to implode into himself, eren does: one big damn boom mistaken for a grand burst of fireworks, beautiful but ugly as it followed a terrible crack. what rained down was a forming corpse growing larger and large as tendon and muscle pulled into place to form a torso, hands, and a head— it was a whole god damn giant coming right out of that explosion.

lucky for most, this giant was incomplete and the byproduct of a will still strong but a young man still so absolutely buzzed with whatever it was he drank that he'll forget all about this. eren's real ass actually hangs out of the falling titan corpse only at the size of ten-ish feet and barely causing any major damage (but damage, all the same; there went a roof, and a light post, and the street). if no one is hurt, it's a blessing.

the titan moans from where he's fallen, drags its torso up again a wall and—

drops back with its wide, skeletal mouth agape and as out of it as the pilot inside. ]

[he does a fucking 'boom'?! bakugou rebounds to the side, explosions guiding him towards a building top and landing upon it with a skid before twisting up to watch the creature in the sky. the fuck is going on with this idiot? that much stored power releases like that? who'd build up such a charge just from fighting someone else? the synchrony wasn't supposed to result in shit going supernova.

but when it's over, bakugou aims to dash skyward and grab him, only to stop and stare with a strange expression. what. the fuck. is. that thing? it's not a corpse of eren, but some swelling giant? WHY'D HE TURN INTO A FUCKING GIANT ASS GIANT?!

he doesn't hold back too long and rushes forward, fully intending on trying to rip eren clean of the giant's figure. or at least attempt to knock it off course so it'd land somewhere--FUCK! Not on the buildings!!

Mental note: next time a giant falls from the sky, blast the fuck out of it regardless! look at this needles property damage! bakugou lands and stalks towards the monster lying on the ground.

as soon as it moves and tries to drag itself up, the explosive blonde up and BLASTS IT right in the fucking head! one solid punch fully intending to knock it the fuck out.
