[does he dislike it? not completely. it's why he continues to do it from time to time. but being sappy or romantic, tender or emotional, has never been a strong point with him. notions of affection and feelings leak out in katsuki's daily life through small things, like preparing dinner for them both, sleeping beside denji at night, sitting quietly with him in the evening, walking by him at the store, daily experiences alongside someone he cares for. it saves the unique displays for when he feels it's wanted or needed. denji gets away with things no one else does. he accepts the flowers with a grumble (and makes sure they're cared for), he teases his boyfriend about those romantic dinner spots, and barks at him for dedicating a song to him when he's already bristling from even being at the karaoke bar in the first place. but katsuki never stops denji. permission into his private space and offering tolerance are also evidence of affection. it's not like katsuki will return to his world and have a boyfriend waiting for him. he'll have war... and a just-sewn-up hole in his chest with a ninja-repaired busted heart and lungs to deal with for life. a life he refuses to lose in war. he made denji a promise not to die. and he won't break his promise.

katsuki's certainly not as bad about pushing himself as izuku; he focuses on his health and his rest, but there are times he'll get caught up in his job and work himself to the point of breaking. this time around, it's for a harder reason. if he's so exhausted at night, he can barely keep his eyes open, he won't have the brain to dream. no nightmares to wake him. they're fading, coming more and more rarely, as he begins to ease off the gas in his life. denji needs his attention to. he knows his boyfriend still feels horrible about what happened in vegas, and deals with his own personal demons. katsuki wants to be strong enough to give him the aid and comfort he needs to combat those monsters in the realm the blonde can't reach.

at the very least, denji's already submerged himself up to his chin in the water; he's rinsed off well enough. but when katsuki wakes from his light snooze, the acrid bite of sweat is replaced with the mellow scent of clean and soap. a pleasant rouse as he comes back into waking, still resting against his boyfriend. who apparently managed to get himself all cleaned up without dislodging the young hero from his nap. that's pretty damn impressive. katsuki's not a light sleeper unless he's set his internal clock to be so. all good things had to come to an end, and he wasn't intending to sleep the night away in the bath. even if it was pretty damn comfortable. maybe they can do that some night. denji's irritatingly comfortable to sleep against. perhaps it's due to all those nights of cuddling with pochita. he just... knows how to make someone feel wanted, contented, safe, and comfortable in his arms. another reason katsuki wants denji to feel the same in his.]

I don't have a problem getting in your bed. You just make it hard to sleep sometimes.

[cause they end up fucking. katsuki glances up, red eyes half-hooded under his lashes, as denji hooks his fingers beneath his chin to encourage his face up. blinking once or twice, jaw tightening to stifle a yawn that wants to drag his mouth open. waking up stopped being fun after he turned thirteen. he does it out of duty now. he focuses quietly on denji's face, taking in the way his tawny eyes search his own visage, the gentle curve of his lips from a barely hidden smile, cheeks smooth with a tiny tinge of pink, damp bangs still raked back from his forehead, every part of him coming together in a handsome package katsuki gets to call "mine" any time he wants. corded muscles draw tight as he tilts his head ever so slight, giving denji space to make out with his neck. horny bastard...]

Yeah, yeah. Lemme wash off first. Didn't get in just to soak.
