At least you're not spitting out stupid one liners.
[no shit pickup lines or weird attempts at flirting too hard. as for denji + successful dating attempts? how the fuck should he know? girls trying to kill him during dates doesn't exactly mean the rest of the dating experience was horrible, right? could've had a fine experience and then had it ruined at the end. compared to bakugou's never having had a date in his live, until here at least, with denji, it's a moot point. and yet, he wasn't lying when he made a vow to himself to be the best experience the other boy ever had with someone else. there's no treachery, no abuse, no mean-spirited mockery or expected work. bakugou refuses to go down as another failed attempt at relationship in denji's life. whether that relationship was merely friendship, moved to friends with benefits, or even something more. he's not going to lose to some fucked-up bitches in the other boy's memories. hell, if possible, he's going to be so damn good, it'll wipe those dumbasses out of denji's memories into "yeah they sucked, but now" territory that doesn't even fucking sting.
though, that's kind of reckless and bakugou may be diving into this headfirst without his usual thoughtfulness and cankerous wary nature. though... really? he's been with denji for a while now, two or three dates under their belt, plenty of experiences both good and bad, and none of those have done shit to push him away or even flick a red flag warning up to make him leave. he already told denji he would never do something he didn't want to do, no matter how forceful it was shoved on him. which means... denji's something, someone, he wants to be with.
even if he's got his hand on his ass and is starting to squeeze it without fucking thinking. distracting, but not enough to prevent bakugou from saying that single-word shot to the heart. maybe he should've given more, maybe denji was looking for "mountain climbing, kicking ass, spicy foods, winning, heroes" and other listings of bakugou's likes.
instead, he got that. you. denji.
there's probably a shit ton in there to unpack, for both of them, and bakugou's horrible when it comes to unpacking anything vocally to other people about himself. unloading rawr on other people? much easier. but this? he doesn't regret what he said, but his mind's already bracing for any future questions that are gonna hit up with his usual awkward wall when it comes to feelings. he likes denji. he likes denji? ... yeah, he does like him. how far does "like" go here? uh... it's not like bakugou's fucking lying on other people all the damn time! or sleeping over in their rooms! or trading spit and tangling tongues naked in the shower with hands going all over the damn place. but... no regret. he likes him. yeah, he does. bakugou might be bad with emotions, but he's not a fucking liar.
maybe one day, they'll talk about denji's life. they'll venture into the trauma of his mind. bakugou will weather the pain and misery and longing that exist in a world he could never possibly know, an orphan abused and ripped apart by a world that seems to have it out for him personally with no exception. and he'll stand there by him when it happens. refusing to move or go anywhere no matter how gross or hard it gets. bakugou died once before. what's the world, any world, going to do worse than that? denji included. if he gets to live here and pull this boy close, hold him and tell him he means something, that's he's fucking valued by at least one person without a single shred of doubt in that promise... fuck yeah, he's gonna do it without question. feelings are a bitch, but they're strong.
denji says kiss him and he doesn't have the chance to do so before denji's kissing him. bakugou grunts at the sudden grip and tug, but quickly presses into the kiss, eyebrows furrowing and a low growl rumbling in his lips as he presses his mouth against the other boy's.]
